It took four hours from start to finish to make this 18th century-style hussif, or sewing kit. I was inspired by this video from Sewstine, though I cannot emphasize enough how much I improvised while making this. I measured nothing. I made it up as I went along. My favorite personalization is the little belt-loop for my wonder clips–this way they don’t get lost at the bottom of the deep pockets! It fits absolutely everything I need to do some English paper piecing on the go.
I have way too much leftover fabric from my sampler quilt. Let’s see what I can make this weekend with it…
Finally finished the first quilt I started, which I’ve been using as a free motion quilting sampler in between other projects. I’m really happy with it!
The center is “squared off” and now I’m making random strips for the rest of it! Annoyingly, it has to be 19x21 hexies to have the butterfly centered, so I have to make strips of four and five.
