Activities Coordinator

Do you like to have fun and make sure other people are having fun too? Do you light up a room when you enter and have an amazing personality? If so, you are the ideal Student Activities Responsible!


Responsibilities


  • Organize and lead social, cultural, sporting, community activities program, day trips and excursions appropriate to students’ needs and age
  • Organize new student orientation, assist with registration of new students on arrival and organize new student arrival information packets - ‘Welcome Pack’
  • Achieve departmental KPIs set by the management
  • Manage finances to ensure activities remain within budget; manage activity stock and supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain notice boards around the school with relevant information, posters and so on relating to social activities
  • Produce weekly activities program and make this available to students
  • Promote school events and excursions in school, on Facebook and on students’ app and ensure they are always current and updated regularly
  • Manage and update the school’s Facebook fan page and other official social media daily, in a professional manner
  • Ensure that varied information is available to students for leisure time activities, such as tourist information for other destinations, what’s on guides, travel information and timetables.
  • Administer the ordering and selling of EF merchandise and gadgets
  • Responsible for petty cash for the school and ensuring accurate records are kept of these expenditures
  • Monitor stocks of student handbooks, binders, maps and student cards
  • Mentor assigned mentees and organize monthly mentoring activities
  • Responsible for the beauty check and the facilities of student lounge and rooftop area
  • To assist the School Director when required
  • Share school opening/closing roster and emergency on call duties with other school staff


Qualifications And Competencies


  • Advanced language skills in Japanese & English essential
  • Enthusiastic, upbeat and natural leader with high energy and entrepreneurial spirit
  • A flexible approach to work & hours of work undertaken is essential; evening and weekend work hours is required
  • Business-minded with strong sense of customer service
  • Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
  • Excellent communicator both with students, colleagues, and external clients
  • Attention to detail, organized & thorough; goes above and beyond, never settling for status quo
  • Experience working with international students is a plus


Must currently be in Japan.
