    Ankara

President Recep Erdogan is considered to be the guarantor of law and order in Turkey. He does not tolerate criminal structures – at least not on Turkish soil. He bases his power on the Turkish state apparatus and on his party, the AKP, which is loyal to him. For years he has been calling on Turks living abroad to preserve their linguistic, religious and cultural identity, but otherwise to behave in accordance with the law.

But can it be that Erdogan’s expressions of loyalty to the legal systems of other countries are just a show and that he is actually playing a double game?

In any case, the well-known Turkish mafia boss Sedat Peker has raised suspicions with a current public statement. This was reported by the German daily, the Tagesspiegel. On YouTube, Peker revealed illegal cash flows from Turkey to the criminal organization Ottoman Germania, which has been banned in Germany.

The person involved in these mafia-like cash flows is none other than Metin Külünk, member of the board of the Erdogan party, the AKP. There is still speculation about the order of magnitude – but at least hundreds of thousands a year, but maybe even millions may be involved.

The real question is how does Erdogan’s AKP benefit from providing Turkish mafia gangs in Germany with money? The obvious answer to this question is: control. Anyone who creates dependencies through ongoing payments is naturally able to also direct the activities of their dependents.

Sedat Peker is considered a tough individual in Turkey ever since he publicly announced that he wanted to “bathe in the blood of Erdogan’s enemies”. Even tough Ottoman Germania has been banned as an organization, their supporters have by no means been expelled from German soil.
