Exactly. Being pulled over is traumatic. These fucking pigs think it's some cute joke.

Good lord you repost a lot. Just so people know, u/my_memes_will_cure_u is a spam bot that reposts stolen content. Just look at their profile.

It’s the fact that in the nicer neighborhoods everyone loves the police and feel safe by them (I do). But in other neighborhoods (usually with a majority of a black population) don’t feel safe by the police by bad interactions with them. They aren’t just making stuff up, it’s because you’re used to one way your treated and don’t realize other people can get treated worse on a regular basis. (I’m not saying it’s the cops fault, it’s the systems fault of how black communities are looked at)

Edit: thx for the award and it’s still wholesome seeing cops having a snowball fight with some kids who were having fun

People on Reddit seriously act like cops shoot everyone on sight in the US. That’s not our reality. I understand that you only hear about the negative media police here get because that’s all that’s newsworthy, but you seriously have to understand there’s a vast majority of police interactions that are entirely uninteresting, unreported, and sometimes, like the one shown, downright wholesome. It’s not “copaganda” to realize they are human beings too, husbands and wives, parents to their own kids, and part of our society as anyone else would be, and sometimes they’re just interested in having fun with the local kids on snow day.

Edit: I’m not a cop. I don’t have any cops in my family or my wife’s family. I just often feel like they get very unfairly treated, likely due to the way they’re portrayed in the news for the acts of specific individuals. We wouldn’t say the KKK represents all white people, so we shouldn’t say the bad cops you hear about in news articles are representative of all cops. Sorry.. rant over.

Seriously. This shit has me unnaturally immorally angry. Fuck you kid. You fucking retard. Have you never seen someone get decked? Ever? You jus tryna walk in front of a moving object to go where WHERE? Where was he tryna go? What place of value is over there AND BACK AGAIN? Was he trying to dodge the swing like a cool kid? What was he possibly thinking? Fuck you kid. Those are his sisters there. Or are they just some uniquely non brained children at the park chilling with a toddler in the evening? Dumb retards with dumb brains that’s who they are. I guarantee you their condition will last until adulthood. You seriously just gonna scream and put your arms out to save a small child from injuries ranging from broken bones to spinal damage? Am I the only one who learned how to stop early on a swing set? I hate children. But I particularly hate the clearly mentally deficient one with the eyes that don’t comprehend anything. You just passed a small child while your entire body weight swung past it. Then you swung back. Saw the child. Saw your friends body language and thought “maybe if I just lower my legs so my knees point directly at the small child’s head, perhaps I’ll hit it so fucking hard in it’s dumb brain it will forget this even happened. Maybe then I will always and forever be able to blindly swing.”

IMO, no it’s isn’t cruel to offer your cat catnip. It’s really the only recreational drug that is (or should be) offered to pets, and many of them seek it out and seem to really enjoy it.

It’s a member of the mint family, and grows wild, but of course most cat owners purchase it dried, or as a live plant, or in the form of bubbles or whatever. It contains and releases a chemical called nepetalactone, which triggers the vomeronasal organ in the cats nose, and mimics a sort of pheromone response in the cat’s brain. (This is one of the most popular and sensible theories-we arent 100% sure why and how kitties love the nip). Humans don’t possess this organ, so we have no way of knowing what exactly cats feel when they inhale nepetalactone.

Some cats get super mellow, others run around for a while then have a great deep sleep, and some cats aren’t affected by it at all (it’s a genetic trait whether or not they respond to it). Kittens won’t usually start being affected by catnip until they’re around 6 months old.

My 19 year old cat partakes weekly, every Friday, and enjoys it. He knows that we keep it in the freezer and gets excited when we pull the little tub out. He sprinkle some on the floor, he rolls around in it and chuffs and sniffs it, then goes and watches the bird feeder and falls asleep.

Giving a cat catnip isn’t really “drugging” them, it’s a temporary and short acting pheromone-like response. It has no long term, or ill effects on their body or brain. The big cats like lions and tigers will seek out and enjoy catnip too, or will eat the plants to settle their stomachs, like a housecat will.

Hope I’ve eased your mind some!
