Rules and Guidelines
Please make sure you read these rules before contributing to our community:
1. "Artist - Song" Format and Informative Titles
- Format: Artist - Song Title (Additional Info Here)
- If posting a discussion/news, title it appropriately. Give readers a good idea of what the discussion/news entails. No title only discussion posts please.
2. Direct links to images are not permitted in /r/Metalcore.
- Direct links to images/videos are not permitted in /r/Metalcore. Instead, put the image inside of a self post in order to inspire as much discussion as possible.
- In addition, memes are not permitted. Please post memes to r/corejerk.
3. Absolutely no discussing leaks or linking to piracy.
4. Reposts & General Posting Guidelines.
- No reposting of songs/topics within five months of each other.
- Please refrain from posting a band's material if you or another user has submitted the same band in the past 24 hours.
- No title only discussion posts please.
- Discussion topics include things like "Favorite breakdowns", "Top BLEGHS", etc.
5. No Full Album or Spotify Posts
- No Full Album or EP posts and no Spotify links.
- Please use YouTube or Bandcamp for song posts, so that they are accessible for all. Demos, promos etc. are allowed upon release. Click here for more info.
6. Self-promotional spam
- Posting your own band (or podcast, cover, etc.) is allowed, but please read our self-promotion post first. If you'd like to regularly self-promote, please use our weekly thread which is posted every Wednesday!

7. Selling/Trading
- Ticket sales, ticket trades, and other offers where money is involved are not permitted
8. Recent release outside discussion thread
9. Don't be a dick
- Don't be a dick. Before you post or reply to a comment, think "Am I being a dick?" If you waffle on the answer, don't post it.
10. No link posts to Hall of Fame bands.
