Recent posts have had some awesome live versions of songs so I wondered what other hidden gems are out there in your minds that you'd like to share. I know it's impossible to pick one song, or one song out of one show, but I'd love to see some unique and amazing ones I may not have seen before. It could be a show you were at or just the best one from a tour or even one you just discovered online.... could be one of your fave songs, or just a unique version of a great song, or even a studio live performance for a tv show... whatever, you know what I mean, anything that really grabs you.
Here's mine: Live Rabbit Hole from Bowery Ballroom, March 20, 2022. I was at the March 19th show but no good video exists. This is pretty similar to my experience. It was before WE had dropped and only one other prior show playing this song in New Orleans. Many of us streamed that show and had already learned the lyrics from youtube postings of that show before the NYC shows. Brand new at the time, only one live recording, then secret 4 nights in a row at BB where it was filled with fans like me who already knew the lyrics. The beat drop was insane (which lead to a bit of a disappointment when the WE studio version came out). Plus, Win dancing with all of us in a super small venue with no security around him - just one of the crowd - and then Regine came out in spandex and shot laser beams in our eyes. (also the Bowie ghost story happened on the 19th... and it was weird)
