I've never thought of Arcade Fire as a "love song" kind of band, but this list hits on some interest points. You think of love songs as being "ballads" and this band is far too original to do traditional stadium rock, or even indie rock ballads.

I don't necessarily think of some of these songs as love songs (like "Afterlife" or "It's Never Over"), but "Crown of Love" is certainly top of the list.

How is Deep Blue a love song? That aside, this list helps me realize how much better AF are at writing love songs compared to most artists, even to some of their contemporaries. They always make the effort to tie in love songs with the themes of their albums, which is more than I can say for a lot of bands (looking at you, Gorillaz)

Interesting list. I’d put Eurydice and Orpheus higher personally. I fucking love those songs. If Afterlife belongs on that list at all it needs to be at the top, though I don’t view that song as a love song (in the romantic sense).
