I will be walking through all the hippest neighborhoods (hehe) in LA this weekend looking for stuff like this. I was at an event before Reflektor was announced and someone was handing out those fans on a stick with the logo printed on them.

I just received one today in Canada. Wasn’t sure what it was at first, as I haven’t been paying attention and didn’t recognize the new logo. Remembered hearing that Arcade Fire was about to release something… checked their Twitter and boom there it was… getting excited now!

Do you have an idea why AF would have your address? I remember buying tix to the EN show and receiving EN cds in the mail...but that was through Ticket Master.

    • Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. The deck is yet to be payed.

    • Payed out when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. The rope is payed out! You can pull now.

    Wonder if people who got postcards all got the same riff, or if they split the song into a bunch of pieces and mailed it out.

    Would be a cool way to sort of crowdsource the song and see if we can piece it back together before release
