It’s art that is presented very personally and it’s somewhat inextricable from the presenter. I took my 14 yo daughter to her first concert at the NYC Neon Bible show last Saturday. It was epic and she loved every minute. On the way home I asked if she was aware of the controversy and she wasn’t. We had a good father/daughter conversation about it. I respect that he says he fucked up. He’s human, and I don’t wish to be judged for the worst things that I’ve done in my life. But as a father of a girl approaching 18 who is awed by the presence on stage it also troubled me. I hope that Win is genuine about repenting. His humanity is what makes him a great artist.
