Currently the new Blackmagic Camera app is the only pro app that allows the new iPhone 15 Pro to record any codec directly to an external SSD Drive or Flash drive. Filmic doesn’t. Cinema P3 doesn’t. Good job Blackmagic. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I made a video about it here… https://youtu.be/tXBOAsDFY9M?si=3ox3ZYvWPncoNyNs
Trying to see if I can get these things working on my iPhone 15 pro.
1 - Apple log - I have the most recent version and the patch notes as of 6 days ago say apple log was added but I either don't see it listed as an option in settings or I'm too noob to know it's there as a name other than "apple log". I see a half dozen codecs and 3 color spaces and none of them are apple log and my basic googling isn't pointing me towards any of them are apple log.
2 - HDMI Clean Feed - I've toggled this back and forth in the monitor section of the settings app, but either way whenever I open the app the HDMI feed coming from my phone cuts to black. It cuts in the same way that the google photos app does when you open it, as if the apps themselves have some kind of a block that cuts the HDMI out of the phone when you open them.
My setup I'm trying to do is this hdmi dongle into my camlink 4k into my macbook pro.
My use case for the clean feed is to try to use the main lens on the iphone as a 4k30 webcam into OBS, but I can't seem to get 4k out of the phone into my camlink at all anyways even though I know this dongle and the phone are both supposedly capable of that. Even at 1080p60 it could be more solid than continuity camera or epoccam tbh
Hi guys I´m editing a video for work, which normally entails deleting stuff I don´t like. Normally I just cut the segment and use my hotkey for "delete gap". I literally did this for the entire video without issues, but now that I decided to cut a random part that I didn't like, the audio that moves back when I cut the gap is just messed up. It just doesn't sound or a random sound from other parts of the video show up. The weird part is that when I move the audio a bit, like just forwards and then back into place, the problem gets fixed for that specific clip.
So, a few things that my help you help me: I'm using proxy media for most of the clips, I'm using Davinci 18.6 and have multiple tracks. The most important thing, and I think this might be the problem, is that I'm using a new computer, and set the cut gap hotkey to control+G, and I realize now that it already was set up for "create group", so all this time I guess I was doing both commands when I pressed the keys. The weird part is that I did almost the entire video without issue, so I really don't know if it affected anything.
Thank you guys for any help you can provide!
