That stretch in the 4th where KD and Middleton exchanged shots for like 4 possessions was crazy

[–]CelticssonQUAALUDE 59 points60 points  (0 children)

khris vs kd, the heat we were all looking forward to in this series

[–][UTA] Carlos Arroyojawshwahhh 4584 points4585 points  (158 children)

I’m by no means a basketball savant, but I genuinely don’t understand what the Bucks offensive scheme is. And I’m not sure Bud knows either

[–]Raptorsmosephjoseph 982 points983 points  (7 children)

Apparently letting Giannis shoot 3s is part of it tho so Bud clearly thinks this is the All Star Game or something

[–][HOU] Hakeem Olajuwonkonsf_ksd 294 points295 points  (0 children)

I can see why when I look at the other guys roster.

[–]SpursBulldogJeopardy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

1-8 from 3 jfc

[–]Bucksc2pizza 1885 points1886 points  (39 children)

PLAY RANDOM!!!

[–]WarriorsGirlsLastTour 419 points420 points  (5 children)

I guess he's out of ideas, so he's decided to let the universe decide the fate of the team. Well, it worked tonight. At least he played his best players tons of minutes. That's progress.

[–]Buckscrabface5 510 points511 points  (6 children)

“How can they know what I’m doing if I don’t know what I’m doing?” - Bud, probably

[–]naus-taos 144 points145 points  (0 children)

'If I can't remember my passcode then neither can the Russians.'

[–]Bucksgaiadyne 625 points626 points  (4 children)

Chaos Ball reigns, gotta keep them guessing. Point Thanasis coming up in the next game.

[–]Nuggetsdatingthrowaway4567 44 points45 points  (2 children)

i was surprised when he said this during the in game interview

[–]Rocketssorendiz 306 points307 points  (2 children)

Um, 'scheme'? Can you use that in a sentence?

-Bud, probably

[–]Suns Bandwagonprobablymade_thatup 64 points65 points  (0 children)

You might be over thinking it. 'None' is a valid answer

[–]Bucksmessejueller21 745 points746 points  (30 children)

It's completely different then what we did vs Miami. Which makes absolutely no sense.

[–]BucksLochNessMain 511 points512 points  (21 children)

I really thought that series was a shining example of how we would play in the postseason. I guess that was only for the revenge series.

[–]BucksPoEaDDict123 389 points390 points  (9 children)

Man I'm like the biggest Bud hater and at times in the Miami series I was like... am I wrong? Is this dude competent? We are actually running plays. What was this, a Middleton / Giannis PnR resulting in a lob? Another one with an open midrange for Khris? Players were actually moving on offense. Screens followed by a hand-off for Forbes with Giannis rolling. We are so bad this series, again... KD saved what's left of Bud's reputation with those bricks, the 4th quarter would have been garbage time again.

[–]HeatMySilverBurrito 138 points139 points  (5 children)

I've seen plenty of Heat fans appreciate yalls coaching but are scratching our heads with how it seem to have disappeared vs the Nets lol.

[–]OJMayoGenocide 119 points120 points  (2 children)

We beat the Heat. Mission accomplished. Now it's time to get Bud fired.

[–]SupersonicsHamsterupyourass 16 points17 points  (1 child)

ur username is great lmao how did u decide on adding the genocide part

[–][MIL] Giannis AntetokounmpoMoltenPandas 15 points16 points  (1 child)

I really don't understand

[–]BelonyInMyLeftPocket 133 points134 points  (12 children)

Which is exactly why the Nets aren't threatened. Giannis and Khris Isos, mixed with whatever the hell else they do is not sustainable against a Nets when they're just normal offensively

[–]PelicansPabloPaniello 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Watching the end with Middleton trading isolation pull-ups with Durant really brought home the inevitability of the Nets winning the series.

Playoff Jrue was enough to steal this game, but I can't believe Bud thinks this will suffice to win 3 out of the next 4.

[–]WarriorsTewsxz 120 points121 points  (9 children)

Well if your team don’t know what the fuck you’re doing, then that means the enemy team doesn’t know as well. So it makes sense

[–][UTA] Carlos Arroyojawshwahhh 63 points64 points  (8 children)

That’s usually my mantra while I play video games. Don’t know how well that holds up in the Eastern Conference Semis

[–][GSW] Stephen CurryQuality_Cucumber 1439 points1440 points  (19 children)

If you include all the time at the free throw lane, Giannis played like 48 minutes tonight.

Coach Bud in shambles right now.

[–]cbtballers 316 points317 points  (10 children)

Lol Bud was getting so nervous running an 8 man lineup that he had to sub Thanasis in for 24 seconds

[–]BullsOperationFlyingD0D0 229 points230 points  (8 children)

To be fair it was a pretty great 24 seconds for Thanasis. Got a block, hyped the crowd and sat back down lol

[–]BucksNeuroxex 86 points87 points  (0 children)

Thanasis will usually come in when the other team has the last possession of the first quarter, it's like his own Thanasis Time.

[–]RaptorsTestedOnAnimals 17 points18 points  (6 children)

I mean, it's the perfect role for him: Spark plug for 2 possessions; tops.

[–][MIL] Bill ZopfFKJVMMP 21 points22 points  (5 children)

Yeah this is what he’s good at, you’d see it in the Bucks sub all the time during the regular season when he wasn’t in the rotation and we’d have an off game where we just looked really flat and lifeless. “Where the FUCK is Thanasis, get him on for like two minutes to liven us up!” Worked a lot when he was in the rotation too, guys can’t help but play harder when he’s flying round the court at 100mph at all times.

[–]Celticsendubs 98 points99 points  (2 children)

I was timing his free throws, he had some that were around 15 seconds lol.

[–]ForYourFap 197 points198 points  (0 children)

Huge underestimates . Giannis shot more than one free throw.

[–]Gripfighting 191 points192 points  (4 children)

Bruce Brown went 0/5 in the last 3 minutes and change. The Nets' final two proper possessions were handled by Bruce Brown. He outshot KD and Kyrie during that period. I don't understand why you'd leave so many possessions on the table in the final minutes of a close game.

[–][MIL] Giannis AntetokounmpoWIN011 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Giannis returned the favor with all the 3s early in the shot clock

[–]Buckszellfire 4627 points4628 points  (163 children)

Horrific game. Can't believe we survived. Giannis, for the love of Christ, stop shooting threes.

[–]BucksRenDabs 2181 points2182 points  (51 children)

He took 8 threes today. 8 fucking three point shots when he was 3-24 on the playoffs coming into the game.

[–]LakersPalifaith 1264 points1265 points  (8 children)

Someone should tell Giannis that you are allowed to practice your three point shots during the offseason rather than during a do or die playoffs game.

[–]Knickssmileyfrown 626 points627 points  (13 children)

Giannis logic: I shot 8, 3's and won by 3... If I shoot 10 we'll win by 9

[–]sevaiper 264 points265 points  (8 children)

Giannis logic: Shoots 3

[–]Tampa Bay RaptorsZeroMomentum 100 points101 points  (7 children)

Couple were just iso pull up. Totally not his game

[–]Heat302born 159 points160 points  (5 children)

[–]Thundertonitrualis 63 points64 points  (4 children)

[–]Mavericksambiguousspark343 181 points182 points  (4 children)

[–][SAS] Kawhi Leonardralstinho 60 points61 points  (3 children)

[–]76ersEvilfart123 99 points100 points  (0 children)

OP made an edit to his comment, he had originally wrote 3-22

[–]NBAGrip-Window 478 points479 points  (21 children)

The confidence giannis has when shooting threes should be inspiring to those who don’t shoot their shot(cries)

[–]Tampa Bay RaptorsKizz3r 178 points179 points  (7 children)

What is giannis if not for the pullup transition 3’s

[–][MIL] Brandon JenningsThommywidmer 63 points64 points  (1 child)

Lmao thats a vintage giannis move right there

[–]LakersHHHogana 41 points42 points  (4 children)

For a serious answer, he should be Orlando Shaq playing Point Power Forward.

[–]Suns BandwagonRezrov_ 36 points37 points  (3 children)

This what I been saying. The freak can layup from the free throw line, put him in the damn post. Stop using him like low-rent Chris Boucher.

[–]CIark 269 points270 points  (4 children)

Luckily the bucks had Khris Middleton and the Nets only had Kevin Durant

[–]ruinatex 196 points197 points  (3 children)

Kinda crazy that KD was pretty horrible for the entire game, but still finished with 30-11-4. He was 8-24 at a point in the fourth quarter, hit three straight shots that looked like it ended the game, then missed the game-tying shot.

Giannis definitely is shooting does threes for two obvious reasons, the first one is his horrible FT shooting (6-19 for the series now) and because he is as wide open as you can be.

[–]LokisBrain 127 points128 points  (2 children)

Sadly, those are not good reasons to shoot threes when you suck at threes.

[–]HeatRiggyTang 81 points82 points  (0 children)

No one else could hit shit besides Middleton, I don’t really blame him tonight. Both teams seemed to be forcing shots in the 4th

[–][GSW] Andris BiedrinsOmarNED 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Not even a Bucks fan and that shit really annoyed me

[–][IND] Victor OladipoxPenguinHD 2580 points2581 points  (61 children)

Shoutout double agent Joe Harris for missing every big shot tonight

[–]Mavericksabacaxi95 1360 points1361 points  (32 children)

He’s lucky Brown is taking attention away from him today. 1-11 is a huge yikes

[–]NBAEarthWarping 483 points484 points  (26 children)

His miss was worse than Bruce Brown's

[–]Netspedja13 501 points502 points  (22 children)

KD hits like 4 in a row, gets doubled, makes the perfect play passing it to Harris, and Harris bricks a completely open look.Damn shame.

[–][LAL] Kobe BryantChampagnesoda 286 points287 points  (15 children)

He was shooting within the offense at least. If I was a Brooklyn fan I’d only be mad at brown. Easier to roll with bad play when they’re taking the shots they should be taking.

Brown thought he was prime d rose with the layups he was trying to get off.

[–]Netspedja13 122 points123 points  (3 children)

To be somehwat fair to Brown,we got back into the game by running a KD Brown pick and roll and he hit a lot of those floaters. However Kd or Kyrie should have been taking more shots in the final 3 minutes.

[–][MIL] Malcolm Brogdongolfer28 145 points146 points  (4 children)

Yeah brutal night for the sniper

[–]Bucksquedfoot 92 points93 points  (3 children)

Thank you, Mr Harris. Very cool 😎

[–][MIL] Malcolm Brogdongolfer28 32 points33 points  (2 children)

He actually gave me 50 bucks one time in Charlottesville after a game against Duke to buy shots for the people around us. He was on the Cavs at that time.

[–]HawksGallopGallup 1536 points1537 points  (32 children)

Who should take a game winning shot?

Durant 🛑

Irving 🛑

Harden 🤕

Harris 🛑

Bruce Brown ✅

[–]Registered to VoteFuckface_Whisperer 133 points134 points  (1 child)

"Hey guys can we lose a game on our way to an easy championship so it looks like it was the Hardest Road? Thanks my dudes." - KD

[–][MIL] Bill ZopfBucs-and-Bucks 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Adam Silver told the Nets they have to lets the Bucks win one, and the Bucks almost refused to cooperate.

[–]PelicansGood_NewsEveryone 829 points830 points  (5 children)

Nash gotta get some of Scott Brook’s secrit plays

“Give it to Durant” fell out of rotation at the end there

[–]Lousykid123 248 points249 points  (1 child)

Somewhere on his burner, KD is slandering Nash for not giving him the ball

[–]ndu867 50 points51 points  (0 children)

[–]SunsGaryBettmanIsMyHomie 68 points69 points  (0 children)

It was fun to see a game go down to the wire like that, haven’t been getting that many this postseason

[–][SAC] De'Aaron FoxBoxcar-Mike 17 points18 points  (1 child)

I just liked the defensive efforts by both teams. There was some weird, bad play but then there was also a lot of streetball. So it was fun.

[–]SpursMakeAShadow 1306 points1307 points  (15 children)

Did we time travel back to 2004?

[–]BucksDaDragster 1028 points1029 points  (3 children)

they showed the stat that giannis and khris had 60 of the 76 points and then like 10 minutes later they showed the exact same stat lmao

that 76-76 stretch could last a lifetime

[–][MIL] Sterling Brownbucksinjapan 343 points344 points  (2 children)

I was having flashbacks to the 2016 finals. I was absolutely sure Kyrie was going to pull up for a three to ice the game.

[–][GSW] Stephen Curryparag14 171 points172 points  (0 children)

In my mind the KD 3 to make it 83-80 was the equivalent to that Kyrie shot. Fortunately for the Bucks they got a different result lol.

[–]SpursMTUKNMMT 70 points71 points  (3 children)

I fucking wish mate, for our sake.

[–][DAL] Wang Zhizhisuzukigun4life 1462 points1463 points  (36 children)

[–]BucksJoetommy33 712 points713 points  (12 children)

That last shot by KD was closer than it shouldve been. wtf.

[–]Raptorsbigboypantss 140 points141 points  (7 children)

Anyone else catch that the Bucks had a foul to give and PJ hacked KD on the catch and the refs didn't call it

[–]ExponentialHS 216 points217 points  (0 children)

It’ll get overlooked but damn what a shot

[–]BucksYaBoiHBarnes 610 points611 points  (13 children)

[–]HarderStrokes 165 points166 points  (0 children)

[–]NBAdeadweightboss 657 points658 points  (6 children)

[–]NBAWorld_Piece 559 points560 points  (29 children)

[–]LakersJayveesac 401 points402 points  (18 children)

The Bad inbound pass kind of threw their plans off

[–]sevaiper 165 points166 points  (7 children)

They still had plenty of time if Brown hadn't panicked

[–]Timberwolvescjpren11 228 points229 points  (4 children)

It’s easy to say that after the fact but in the moment he saw an open lane and took his shot. It wasn’t perfect but Lopez made a great play to stop it.

[–]Warriors49warriors 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Exactly not taking a shot would have been a crime! Taking it and blowing it out is part of the game

[–]CavaliersCavshomie8 95 points96 points  (9 children)

Somehow, I felt the Bucks are even lower IQ offensive team. Giannis has Westbrook syndrome, every 3 he takes is a wasted possession

[–][SAS] Tim Duncanrattatatouille 52 points53 points  (3 children)

The team offense they played in the regular season and vs Miami is nowhere to be found this series. Credit to the Nets D, but this is simply disappointing.

[–]phranq 50 points51 points  (2 children)

This seems to happen to the Bucks every playoffs. They hit a certain team and freeze. I’m inclined to blame Bud like everyone else but Giannis being afraid to take FTs is crushing the offense. The Nets have a limited lineup if Giannis fouls Blake out early for instance the Nets are in trouble.

Giannis and Luka need to reinvent their FT game this offseason. Killing their teams in the playoffs.

[–]Lil_Eyes13 23 points24 points  (1 child)

Completely agree with you man. As a bucks fan, I wanted to break my laptop watching this game. At least luka doesn’t take 13 secs to shoot a damn free throw.

[–]BucksRenDabs 78 points79 points  (2 children)

He was killing it earlier with the floaters but yeah, not the ideal choice for a clutch shot

[–]Raptorsbetercallsaul 166 points167 points  (10 children)

Bruce Brown took like 10 terrible shots in the last 5 minutes of a tied game.

[–]Pelicansbullseye717 68 points69 points  (4 children)

Joe Harris slinking off while everyone blames Brown.

[–]BucksRenDabs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He had so many open looks that just didn't fall, dodged several bullets with his misses

[–]Knicksbrandnameb 38 points39 points  (1 child)

Bruce had a great game. He missed a shot as the roll man and a layup on a broken play and everyone forgets Joe went 1 - 11 lol

[–]SpursAFunctionOfX 89 points90 points  (0 children)

He couldn't miss in the 2nd and it probably gave him too much confidence

[–][CLE] Zydrunas IlgauskasIStoleYourApples 107 points108 points  (7 children)

KD, one of the greatest scorers of all time

Kyrie, a great shooter and incredibly clutch player

Bruce Brown: "I got this"

[–]CelticsJordanwolf98 225 points226 points  (1 child)

He thought he was Harden after the 1st half lol

[–]Bucksc2pizza 93 points94 points  (5 children)

Because the worst inbounds pass in history forced Kyrie to give the ball up and Bruce Brown panicked when he got the ball.

[–]SunsBlanxart 360 points361 points  (6 children)

It's Bruce Brown's team

[–]Sixersleeham 105 points106 points  (4 children)

[–]Bucksc2pizza 277 points278 points  (23 children)

I'll say it. It kills me to say it, but I will. Jason Kidd was right to ban Giannis from shooting 3s.

[–]BucksA2Eaton 84 points85 points  (13 children)

He should be shooting them when he’s completely open, not with someone in front of him though. The entire point is to pull his defender out of the paint, it worked, now stop chucking until they backup again.

I know they won but every Giannis pull up transition three is an embarrassment to this entire organization.

Ikr. I was watching the game like "I know we're playing like total ass and can't hit open shots, but as long as Giannis is taking 3s then we're still in this game".

[–]Rocketsbigtice[🍰] 381 points382 points  (38 children)

Both teams deserved to lose tonight.

The Nets for their poor shooting (Durant, Irving and Harris combined for 21/61 from the field and 6/23 from three) and the Bucks just for being the Bucks with their pitiful offense.

If the Bucks decided to fire Budenholzer mid series, I wouldn't even blame them.

[–]Rocketssorendiz 161 points162 points  (3 children)

Lmao after being up 21 in the first and the game goes to halftime with the bucks up 3 i was half expecting for the second half to start and bud just never shows up, one of his assistants is sitting in his seat

[–]Rocketsbigtice[🍰] 61 points62 points  (2 children)

Budenholzer - DNR (Did Not Return)

[–]Rocketssorendiz 39 points40 points  (1 child)

Lmfao with the bucks offense being iso iso iso giannis 3 iso iso airball iso it might as well have been a DNP for him

[–]PacersJuventus7shop 144 points145 points  (8 children)

Brook Lopez gotta be the unsung hero of this game for the Bucks; 6 huge blocks and defending Brown’s go-ahead shot with less than 10 seconds to go

[–]Suns BandwagonYergason 90 points91 points  (4 children)

SHOUTOUT BROOK AND PJ FOR TOP TIER DEFENSE

[–]Suns BandwagonYouStillTakeDamage 74 points75 points  (2 children)

What a beautiful and also ugly game.

[–][MIL] Thon Makerschuermang 25 points26 points  (3 children)

Brook Lopez actually won the DPOY upon further review

[–]Bucks BandwagonWolvesin7 64 points65 points  (1 child)

PJ Tucker with the most valuable 0 point game ever

[–]BucksPoEaDDict123 113 points114 points  (8 children)

For the love of god, fire him.

[–]Pistonskolsonk 79 points80 points  (2 children)

KD and Kyrie yet Bruce Brown is taking the shot down one

[–]Bucksc2pizza 170 points171 points  (24 children)

All it took to win was KD and Kyrie having their worst shooting nights in months, and Joe Harris having the worst shooting night of his career while Giannis and Khris put up 70. Oh, yeah, and Harden being injured.

[–]PelicansAnotherStatsGuy 36 points37 points  (2 children)

But I don’t think Holiday goes 4-14 again.

[–]twinbloodtalons 254 points255 points  (14 children)

This is the least convincing win I've ever seen.

KD shot 30% for three whole quarters and Bucks just managed to scrape out a win.

Somebody please tell me why Giannis is attempting EIGHT 8s 3s a game (tied for most with Kyrie), making only one of them.

What is the Bucks offensive plan here? Somebody please ask Bud.

I've got no confidence that the Bucks can turn this series into a dub.

Edit: The NBA has not yet introduced 8-point shots.

[–]BucksMateoG50 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the most demoralizing win ever

[–]CelticsQuatro_Leches 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Joe Harris was the best Bucks player today

[–]Malbethion 13 points14 points  (4 children)

Why was the shooting so shit? It seemed like there was something like a 4 minute stretch in the 4th without anybody getting a point.

[–]Izzite 20 points21 points  (3 children)

The refs allowed a lot of contact on the perimeter.

DIDN'T GET SWEPT
