the version of Tyler that is beating up Baudelaire... Next era?

[–]AJfriedRICE 737 points738 points  (62 children)

I took it as regular Tyler Okonma killing off the alter egos. No alter ego next album

[–]SitDown_BeHumble 547 points548 points  (61 children)

Tyler loved Mr. Morale. I could see him being heavily inspired by the subject matter on that album and wanting to do his own take on a personal, vulnerable, confessional album.

[–]seatgeekuser 273 points274 points  (8 children)

he already did that with flower boy

[–]MortifiedPuppy. 265 points266 points  (4 children)

Could be interesting to revisit that subject matter 6 years later! Tyler reflecting on settling into his sexuality, winning Grammys, still searching for self-actualization

[–]Richlandsbacon 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Damn… 6 years later…

[–]Resistance225 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I’m here for it

[–]SBAPERSON. 33 points34 points  (0 children)

6 years later!

[–]moneyman2222 16 points17 points  (1 child)

There's more to explore. He's been doing it in all his albums ranging back to Goblin. He's always picking at his mental health, sexuality, etc. And the best part of it all is we've gotten to see his growth as a person and maturity through how he picks at his own brain. He took a step away from that with CMIYGL and I'd love to see where his heads at nowadays

[–]seatgeekuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think in this new song he makes it pretty clear he wants to keep his personal live more private. all his albums include personal stuff but i doubt he’s gonna do another flower boy type confession about anything

[–]wgsmeister2002. 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, he already dissected his insincerity as a musician on “911 / Mr Lonely”

Oh my God, that boy there is so fuckin' lonely, writing songs about these people whodo not exist, he's such a fuckin' phony

If that’s not the real Tyler talking, what is?

[–]Resistance225 120 points121 points  (4 children)

Tyler’s take on Mr. Morale is something I’m absolutely interested in hearing; I think Mr. Morale does not got nearly enough respect as it should

[–]drugaddict6969 31 points32 points  (0 children)

totally agree. in due time tho

[–]SirLeaf 45 points46 points  (1 child)

Maybe by the bros but the album won a grammy

[–]flamagramma 20 points21 points  (2 children)

I would love it if Tyler took his time (we don’t need an era every 2 years anymore) and made an album like Mr Morale and the Big Steppers.

[–]Machov_Norkim 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He could also just make that in two years... not that he can't do whatever the fuck he wants. I'm just one in millions of listeners; my opinion doesn't mean shit to what he does.

I just think he gives himself plenty of time to craft amazing albums, and I'd love to hear the new Tyler songs sooner than later.

[–]WaspParagon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need over 2 years to do something like Mr. Morale lol

Kendrick wanted to take a break, Tyler might want one too. But let's not fool ourselves, Mr. Morale is great but not half a decade waiting great.

[–]imkii 10 points11 points  (42 children)

Tyler not the type to hop on trends

[–]duckinradar 74 points75 points  (14 children)

Mr morale is trendy? Have you listened to it twice?

[–]RaccoonRazor 26 points27 points  (7 children)

I play it every day in my car, dude. Got the CD just for that

[–]YungVicenteFernandez. 8 points9 points  (0 children)

making a more personal album isn’t a trend lol what

[–]YourAverageGod 83 points84 points  (10 children)

Ace? That was a popular persona for Oddfuture tapes and features.

He was a more technical rapping persona forsure

[–]stavibeats_ 32 points33 points  (3 children)

Was that supposed to be ace? I guess I didn’t get that. I guess it would make sense considering this album is still Baudelaire and not a new personality.

[–]YourAverageGod 22 points23 points  (2 children)

Its all speculation of course.

Ace could've been in the tommy shirt

[–]Far-Feedback2586 42 points43 points  (1 child)

yes the tommy shirt was ace,it's a fit he wore during the bastard era

[–]YourAverageGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I knew i missed something and he stuck out as a rapper

[–]MambaSaidKnockYouOut 41 points42 points  (4 children)

I’d honestly say CMIYGL is probably the best Tyler has been as far as technical rapping goes aside from maybe Wolf

[–]WaspParagon 18 points19 points  (2 children)

It is, that's why I listen to it more than any other Tyler album. IGOR is his magnum opus but I'm not trying to hear that shit every day, now CORSO and other tracks from CMIYGL never get old

[–]MambaSaidKnockYouOut 22 points23 points  (1 child)

Like bruh.. Corso, Hot Wind Blows, Massa, Safari, Manifesto, Rise.. some of the best flows, rhyme schemes and wordplay of his career. Even on Wusyaname and Sweet he was rapping well.

He’s had a bunch of loosies rapping on that level but not many full projects.

[–]WaspParagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Lol

Just read some dude say this is the 1st time he's rapped like this ever since WOLF/Cherry Bomb days, and I'm like... Did you even hear CMIYGL? 😭

[–]AmericaLover1776_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look in the background during the song if you rewatch you can see he is killing off all the other characters and you can see them disappear one by one during the video I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be symbolic of being himself and not a character

[–]Gabagool_Over_Here_. 408 points409 points  (0 children)

The amount of people that are going to use that photo of all his alter-ego's as their header on twitter lmao.

[–]bbqsauceboi 561 points562 points  (26 children)

One of the best Tyler songs of the last 5 years holy

[–]Resistance225 332 points333 points  (25 children)

Yeah this was actually fantastic, a good look back at his career with I think a pretty shocking degree of self awareness. A lot of people were fed up how egotistical he got on CMIYGL but I think this clearly solidifies that on each album he’s playing somewhat of a character that is representative of where he’s at in that moment of time

[–]gurdijak. 157 points158 points  (24 children)

A lot of people were fed up how egotistical he got on CMIYGL

Really? I never got that egotistical vibe from him. If anything I'd say that Tyler seems very self-aware

[–]Resistance225 160 points161 points  (17 children)

I distinctly remember the Reddit thread for his Hot 97 interview during the CMIYGL era and how so many people in the comments were giving him a hard time for like essentially talking his shit and asking for his flowers.

After watching the whole thing it didn’t really rub me as egotistical tbh, more so just a man who was very proud of his accomplishments.

[–]SitDown_BeHumble 104 points105 points  (16 children)

Tyler’s always been a bit egotistical IMO. But I mean, you can’t really blame him.

[–]newcalabasas 111 points112 points  (13 children)

fuck it he deserves to have an ego. off the top of my head, I can't think of any artist who grew up under such immense public scrutiny, but managed to grow both as a person and an artist despite that. not that his previous albums were bad, but he himself said that he only started to figure shit out really from flower boy onwards and imo he's only 2 albums short of having that venerated 5 great albums back to back accolade

[–]thrwy18383747 19 points20 points  (12 children)

Who else has 5 great album back to back you said that like it was some standard lol

[–]_Eklapse_ 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Not many, and I think that's his point. It's not a standard, rather it's an achievement that only truly remarkable artists have pulled off.

[–]newcalabasas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

5 great album back to back

I came across this article a while back and it's definitely not a conclusive metric but just something thats interesting when you want to evaluate what separates a great artist from a good artist

[–]_Vaudeville_. 9 points10 points  (1 child)

He doesn’t have 5 great b2b albums. Cherry Bomb is interesting as a Tyler fan but it’s nowhere near a great album.

[–]Spokenfungus2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They said he has 3 b2b great albums, and is 2 away from having 5

[–]its-full-of-stars. 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Outkast, Kendrick, Kanye, & Denzel (if you count Unlocked) just to name a few

[–]thrwy18383747 22 points23 points  (2 children)

One of those is not like the others lol

[–]ContourOneFoot. 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah one of them doesn’t get the props he deserves.

[–]its-full-of-stars. 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol yeah, Outkast is a duo

[–]SitDown_BeHumble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Danny Brown.

Jpegmafia is 1 album away too.

[–]dcnairb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think he's always come off as more egotistical than he is (although i'm not claiming to know him... that would be ironic on this song especially lol), he's referenced in more recent songs in interviews that a lot of his edgy flexing and ego on older albums was like a cover for how he was feeling. i think his ego on cmiygl is more like the matured/refined kind where now he has more of a legacy and growth history to reflect on

[–]SBAPERSON. 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I recall CMIYGL was meant to be a return to materialistic ego Tyler. I think he mentioned in an interview that his newer fans prob haven't seen that side of him.

[–]Ian2401. 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There is a couple of times on cmiygl where Tyler distinctly references using his money and fame to fill his loneliness

From Corso:

Remember I was rich, so I bought me some new emotions

And a new boat, 'cause I rather cry on the ocean

[–]mbsurfer 599 points600 points  (2 children)

Tyler dressing up as each one of his albums, and then beating the CMIYGL one to death at the end just shows he's really wanting to keep reinventing himself

[–]w04a 179 points180 points  (1 child)

Hes actually in the back of the video killing the other alter egos as well before getting to tyler Baudelaire

[–]Tionboom 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Fucking Art! Gotta love the visual

[–]mediciii 1064 points1065 points  (17 children)

I get why it wasn’t on the last album but this may be one of his best and most poignant songs ever. Poetically and literally like a final cap on the entire career arc from goblin to cmiygl.

[–]playboicartiwlred 485 points486 points  (10 children)

This song was definitely written after he released cmiygl

[–][deleted] 395 points396 points  (7 children)

Dogtooth too, he references Virgil who passed months after CMIYGL came out.

Seems these are unfinished loosies he cleaned up, wrote a couple extra lyrics and is releasing.

[–]newcalabasas 138 points139 points  (5 children)

Dogtooth too, he references Virgil who passed months after CMIYGL came out.

maybe he had finished up most of the song and added that line after Virgil's death. not unlike many artists who do similar things

[–]AmericaLover1776_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah id they were all finished i don’t think he would have waited 2 years

[–]MoistTomorrow1762 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah he mentions fans talking about the age difference between him and Reign with the "met that girl this year", which was the same response he tweeted when people started to talk about it online after the release of CMIYGL

[–]brodesto 77 points78 points  (1 child)

It reminds me of those loosies specifically addressing where he is at in his career

Like fuck it

[–]thatsastick 28 points29 points  (0 children)

[–]WarmJacuzzi. 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup definitely some of his best rapping in verse 2

[–]THING2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Seriously! It makes sense why it wasn't on CMIYGL but I'm happy he's releasing this seemingly transitional album. Super stoked to see him keep on evolving as an artist.

[–]E_boiii 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Growing up being a huge Tyler fan from the weird shit he put out when I was in 6th grade to the master pieces he makes now. A part of me was sad to see his egos being killed off. Prob sounds dramatic but lots of nostalgia ontop of a banger song

[–]Resistance225 146 points147 points  (1 child)

I liked Dogtooth a lot but this kind of blows that out of the water, looking forward to the deluxe

[–]Ghosty141. 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love both, Dogtooth is more like a "hype" song where you can just sing along etc. while SORRY NOT SORRY is a song you sit down and listen to.

[–]Chief_Quiche 196 points197 points  (7 children)

Bruno Mars shoulda been in that audience lol

[–]YourAverageGod 75 points76 points  (2 children)

Personas jumping 2 dopeboyz , bruno, bob and hayley lmao

[–]kyentu 8 points9 points  (1 child)

has hayley said anything about the tyler stuff. she didnt deserve that...

[–]YourAverageGod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was because of the play on wolf haley is the only reason she was mentioned.

[–]CleanSnchz 10 points11 points  (3 children)

[–]Shathu 70 points71 points  (0 children)

"I'll crash that fucking airplane that that f__t n_a B.o.B is in And stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus And won't stop until the cops come in"

From yonkers

[–]thrwy18383747 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He says he was going to stab Bruno mars in his esophagus in (Yonkers?)

[–]Danyul4u 89 points90 points  (4 children)

What if his next albums era is just himself. Maybe even a self titled project. No character just genuinely feeling comfortable as himself and doing his thing for an album.

[–]WaspParagon 51 points52 points  (3 children)

He's said a while ago he wanted to use his African name more often. I think an album called OKONMA would be very interesting to hear, how T sees his evolution from where he was at 19 and where he is at 32. He's had some lines talking about the Black struggle in America recently (on CMIYGL & on this very track we're discussing under), though never in-depth. I'm not saying he should pull a Kendrick, but I want him to explain his views on those issues more broadly & openly.

[–]Pazo_Paxo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Apparently he loved Mr Morale as well, which was an album focused on Kendrick truly being himself raw, with no alter ego to be seen, so yeah there's def going to be shift.

[–]moneyman2222 12 points13 points  (1 child)

Tyler's 4:44 here we go

[–]jaywillmcc2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That would be such a heater

[–]ShiriCentral. 205 points206 points  (12 children)

Man I’m actually such a big fan dude, seldomly does he disappoint

For Tyler nerds: is that like the actual shirt from the Yonkers video? I know there’s a cat on the one in that one as well. Different mask from that era tho

[–]1kinkydong 86 points87 points  (6 children)

Think you mean seldomly not solemnly lol

[–]FoucinJerk 59 points60 points  (2 children)

He does it seldom, but when he does, I’m solemn.

[–]1kinkydong 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It is a rare and sad day when Tyler drops mid

[–]Nickadial 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]ShiriCentral. 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your right I’m dumb

[–]DonAvatti 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is

[–]SenorShakezula 13 points14 points  (0 children)

for sure is the shirt, got the same little shapes on it when it does that close up on him

[–]TheScand 159 points160 points  (1 child)

Edit: yo on second listen I actually think this is one of his best songs wtf???? i’m really loving this

[–]Clutchxedo 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Listened five times back to back immediately. Incredible shit

[–]alex_119 188 points189 points  (18 children)

In the instagram post he has 24 in front of the title. That’s atleast 8 songs on the deluxe. We actually might get a new album as a b side/deluxe.

[–]daxtillionMurphel 74 points75 points  (16 children)

Nah, he numbers almost all of his posts, I wish this were true tho

[–]WilsonX100 172 points173 points  (13 children)

Yeah when he does that, its the track number. He does it all the time for songs from other albums.

Dogtooth was 21 this song is 24. CMIYGL original has 16 tracks. Thats 8 new tracks (at least)

[–]sentyprimus. 20 points21 points  (12 children)

this definitely sounds like a closer though tbf

[–]WilsonX100 68 points69 points  (11 children)

So it could be the last song, at 24. Making 8 new songs lol

[–]liojki 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He usually posts Song titles as captions and the numbers correspond to what number the song is in the tracklist. For example, if he posts "24. Sorry Not Sorry" that means that in the tracklist sorry not sorry is number 24. You can look at some of his other number captions and find the songs in Spotify usually. It's usually whatever song he's listening to at the moment

[–]seatgeekuser 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the numbers the the track number of the song title in the caption

[–]trivil 39 points40 points  (3 children)

crazy good sample, it's he made you mine by brighter side of darkness, but like pitched down a bit...

[–]pithychick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I was trying to figure out the sample. It is prefect.

[–]hoochiscrazy_. 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I said this in the Tyler sub but I wonder if there is a bigger meaning to this and he is killing off Tyler the Creator entirely and is gonna use his real name from now on. That's Tyler Okonma killing all the parts of Tyler the Creator. He mentioned not long ago in an interview that he was thinking about releasing under his real name going forward. Sorry Not Sorry would be an appropriate name also.

Edit: Lyrics fit as well in my opinion, in terms of a final reflection on "Tyler the Creator"

[–]awsomoo8000 76 points77 points  (3 children)

I can’t believe this didn’t make the album. This is incredible.

[–]bennett_for_you 115 points116 points  (2 children)

This was definitely made more recently. It feels like a reflective bridge to his next album. Idk if it would have fit within the concept of CMIYGL either

[–]WaspParagon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't. It sounds like a CMIYGL track but if you pay attention, it doesn't have anything to do with that storyline. It's no surprise this didn't make the final cut. I respect Tyler immensely, sitting on this amazing song and not releasing simply because it won't "make sense" within the project is not something most artists would do, especially rappers who mostly seem to just write a bunch of songs, rope them all together and slap some label over them to call it an "album".

[–]BiBoJuFru 35 points36 points  (1 child)

I know "sorry not sorry" isn't a particularly specific phrase, but it's too funny that DJ Khaled released a song with that exact same title just one month before Call Me If You Get Lost.

[–]goodthingihavepants 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry Not Sorry (Mysterious Remix)

[–]GameBoy09 83 points84 points  (10 children)

So from left to right I think the Tyler personas are:

Flower Boy, Goblin, Cherry Bomb, IGOR, CMIYGL, Bastard, Next Album(?), and WOLF

[–]Gabagool_Over_Here_. 113 points114 points  (4 children)

Think the shirtless Tyler could be a placeholder for his next album as he probably hasn't figured out the persona yet or it could just be the real him.

[–]SkillsDepayNabils 92 points93 points  (3 children)

tyler in his palaeolithic album era

[–]thrwy18383747 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Samples rock smashing and unga bunga

[–]flamagramma 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Tyler’s gonna remind everybody of how much he loved Death Grips

[–]chiliparty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also noticed the General uniform at the beginning, reminded me of his costume in the old Sam is Dead video, which had a very similar concept of killing off versions of himself.

[–]FruitCakeSally 26 points27 points  (2 children)

Shirtless Tyler isn’t one of the albums imo. I also have it as Flower Boy, Goblin, Cherry Bomb, IGOR, Call Me If You Get Lost, Bastard?(nothing immediately comes to mind here tbh), then WOLF.

[–]VisitMany 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That other one’s definitely Bastard, he wore a shirt like that on an alternate album cover

[–]Impressive-Purple-77 26 points27 points  (5 children)

This took a traumatic turn that i was not expecting.

[–]HenryKushinger. 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Is this your intro to Tyler or something? Dude got famous eating a cockroach...

[–]Impressive-Purple-77 2 points3 points  (3 children)

No, I just didn’t see him beating up one of his alter ego’s in the video.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I mean, he’s killed off his alter egos in a music video before https://youtu.be/i7qaLXEnrUE

[–]WhisperAzr 53 points54 points  (1 child)

Tyler's been going crazy the last like 6 years, hasn't missed on an album or a loosie. Can't believe how good this is.

[–]brodesto 66 points67 points  (0 children)

This deluxe bout to be straight heat got damn

[–]Number11Role. 22 points23 points  (0 children)

RIP Mr Baudelaire 🙏

[–]DeCa796. 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I love how all the Tyler personas are in the back.

edit: on a second listen, this is up there with Answer, beutiful song.

[–]Sp_Gamer_Live 257 points258 points  (4 children)

Tyler out here dropping throwaways that are better than your favorite rappers best song

[–]Neither_Amount3911 155 points156 points  (1 child)

Tyler putting in more effort in his deluxe edition release than your favorite rapper puts in their actual full initial release

[–]YourAverageGod 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You mean the rejects that drop 2 weeks after the album drops to try and build momentum again?

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a video for ALL of these.

[–]astronxxt 21 points22 points  (0 children)

uh this is great but you needa chill

[–]proudglendalebear 22 points23 points  (0 children)

lol ok

[–]gurdijak. 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's really cool seeing all of his old personas in the video. I like the song itself too, I feel it's better than Dogtooth.

I don't return to Call Me If You Get Lost that much but maybe the deluxe will make me give it a good few more listens.

[–]thvrsday 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Video brought me back to when my friend first told me to listen to Assmilk back in the black ops 1 days and my high school self was lowkey terrified lmao. It’s crazy to truly watch an artist grow and see a lot of the artists around that era still doing their thing.

[–]NugPacino 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Great song the video was top notch. He’s always made some of the most creative videos in music imo. Seeing all his characters again was awesome too, brought me back to a little pieces of history over the years of being a fan.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points  (2 children)

I like this and Dogtooth more than any song on CMIYGL wtf

[–]IIM_Clutch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is fire but Dogtooth is not better than like any song on CMIYGL

[–]69420trashpanda69420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These songs are great but SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE wipes

[–]pancada_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

What the fuck. The lyrics and the energy. This is the best song I've heard in a year. One of Tyler's best hands down

[–]DeliriousYoyo[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Didn't love DOGTOOTH that much, but this is fantastic

[–]Thebullfrog24 28 points29 points  (2 children)

I honestly think there's an argument for Tyler to be the best rapper right now. I don't think he gets his due because he gets put in the "creative/weird" box.

I'd like to see him go on a feature run (ala cole 2019, wayne late 2000's). I think it'd surprise a lot of people.

[–]DonAvatti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah id like to see him on a producer run. Hes so good at it that it baffles me how more artists arent asking him for beats, Gunns Party wit Pop Smoke, Sza's Jodie, Rockys Same Problems etc are just a few of the songs he produced

[–]qazaibomb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tyler features are almost always great he really should do more

[–]hardatworklol 14 points15 points  (4 children)

When was the last time T took an L?? From my perspective Tyler is on the way to becoming the GOAT. I'm not even trying to be hyperbolic. he's just that consistent, and that creative.

[–]Usernamesin2016LUL. 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean ngl that Grinch soundtrack was ass and that was 2018. But official full-length projects he hasnt missed in over a decade.

[–]kae-lo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is this…Tyler’s best song ever??

[–]OOZI3M4N3 19 points20 points  (3 children)

i almost don't believe that these new songs are throwaways from the last album lmao, they're significantly better than a lot of what's on the album. likely recorded after the album came out and he needs to put out some new music, but doesn't have a theme or enough for a new album.

[–]MambaSaidKnockYouOut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Definitely seem more like songs that were recorded around the same time, rather than songs that were necessarily meant for CMIYGL.

[–]xTotalSellout 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dogtooth references Virgil’s passing, which was after his album dropped. Of course the song could have been from before then, and he just went in and added that line after the fact, but I think these songs definitely haven’t just sat untouched for two years

[–]Tokenblacc 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Holy fuck, this is absolutely bonkers. I’ve never heard Tyler go off like this before. This is the most personal and introspective I’ve ever heard him be. I’m now hyped as fuck for the estate sale. I love it when he raps his ass off like this.

[–]Jacobklassen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We’re definitely not getting a new album this year but I think this deluxe will act as an interlude to the next project. I’m hoping Tyler follows Kendrick’s footsteps and gets personal on his next album.

[–]tevkeoBaby Keem's father 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is fucking amazing.

[–]kokaine21 7 points8 points  (0 children)

GOAT idgaf

[–]NorthKoreanVendor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think shirtless Tyler might be the Section 8 Tyler, the ‘real’ one

[–]lastresortbbq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The OG album has no shortage of amazing tracks, and you’re telling me that shit like this was on the cutting room floor? That’s why CMIYGL is my favorite Tyler project, man

[–]highestintheroom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is amazing

[–]sentyprimus. 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this shit is amazing

[–]AaronB666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really liked the outro beat to this, wish it was longer

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful song, and one of his most personal

Damn Tyler I know you were inspired by Em but I didn't think you were gonna go so far to release a deluxe and put the best tracks on the second disc (looking at you Encore...)

Seriously this song is so damn good. Might be my favorite of his in just a few listens. Kind of has a Kendrick "FEEL" thing going on. Just heavy self reflection effortlessly rapped.

EDIT: In no way am I saying Encore and CMIYGL are on the same level

A truly beautiful song. The parts where he touched on his fans being mad he changed is def gonna piss some of them off lol
