You can take Hyli out of FNC but you can't take the FNC out of Hyli

[–]IncandescentWorm 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You can take the W out of Oscarwinin but he just got it back

[–]Tryonix 40 points41 points  (1 child)

His IGN soloQ is still FNC Hylissang

Nightshare and Hiiva are insane coaches, always mindgaming the opponents to int draft so we can secure a draft kingdom

[–]flower-of-Nav 115 points116 points  (2 children)

Nightshare is really smurfing in the coach role in general, judging from the Legends in Action videos. Love his whole approach to building up the team not just gameplay wise but out of the game too

[–]i_forgot_my_cat 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Especially considering the insane circumstances. Between the pressure of a massive fanbase out for blood, and basically every member of the team getting sick on rotation during the 3 weeks of the split, it's honestly impressive.

[–]parkourman01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was watching it yesterday and I really like his approach of anonymously getting people to effectively say what the good and bad things are for each player. It’s a bold move but if nobody knows what their flaws are they can’t fix them and whilst it’s hard, everyone has good and bad and it’s important for the team to be open about what those problems are.

We as a community can sit and say “x person is trash” but we see a small selection of their games every week and it’s far more accurate and important to get that feedback from your teammates, even if it does hurt.

And you could see when Razork was like “I don’t even care about the positives now”, it’s hard to hear sometimes and people will get defensive when it comes from people they respect, but I think it’s the correct move. It clears the air and helps people recognise the error of their ways.

Additionally I like his attitude. He’s approachable but he clearly doesn’t abide too much fucking around either.

Also him and Hiiva have smurfed the last 3 drafts. Idk how they keep getting away with it 😂

[–]lorien_powers 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For sure. Great job to them to keep team postive. And the insane drafting last few games. Also love how he speaks in legend of action. Happy he is our coach

[–]Deathscyce 13 points14 points  (4 children)

To be fair, MADs draft was good on paper as well. You have Lee Sin who can easily kick an immobile Jinx into the team (happened over and over again), a Kai'Sa to follow suit, a frontline in Gnar and a Sylas who is very solid all around.

BUT FNC played it really well and the Olaf pick kinda destroyed the whole ALL IN plan by not caring about the engage champs and going straight to the carries.

[–]SWatersmith 22 points23 points  (2 children)

dude, no. Relying on Lee Sin kicking jinx into your team when you are against Braum/Sej/Olaf/Azir/Jinx is not a good draft lmao. This was the most obvious draft gap all season in LEC

[–]m0ose__ 0 points1 point  (1 child)

idk koi's draft last weeks against us was extremely int as well

[–]djzveno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They were redside blindpicking almost every Role😂

[–]KALLS2K_ 121 points122 points  (0 children)

As rekkles said, one good game is all you need!!

[–]Ker-choo 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Also what a draft, good job!

[–]salmoempire 103 points104 points  (2 children)

OKAY. Here me out. Copium Overdose time: In our last two games we have smashed two of the last three LEC Champions. G2 next?

[–]wotad 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Even if we dont beat G2 I want a good performance obviously would prefer a win though.

[–]Tequilla_Sunsett 59 points60 points  (3 children)

HYLI today: #alwaysfnatic :)

[–]AbdDjamil_27 27 points28 points  (2 children)

    [–]skaersSabody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Or get to finals with a very specific seeding for the rest of the teams

    [–]Tryonix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For sure we need at least to reach the finals. KOI and MAD are the 2 teams with the most points from Winter so we will also need them to not finish top3-4 (in playoffs)

    [–]donglover2020 40 points41 points  (11 children)

Really clean game despite the couple of fights where they failed to peel for Rekkles

    [–]Prestigious-Wall-183 41 points42 points  (0 children)

To be fair on that second fight (the one where elyoya ends up killing him) MAD did full psycho throw the fight to kill him so thats a sufficient level of peel

    [–]cbateman101 21 points22 points  (0 children)

They were peeling for the true carry Oscarinn 👍 Silly MAD players diving for the Jinx when their mid and support are being 1v2ed.

    [–]FantasyTrash 16 points17 points  (1 child)

Mad sold the farm to kill Rekkles every fight. Not every fight can be a clean ace. Trading 3-4 kills for Rekkles is an easy win for Fnatic. Could they have peeled better for him or he positioned better? Probably. Did Fnatic still posture in a way that they force Mad to sacrifice way too much to kill Rekkles? Yes. Win-win for the boys.

    [–]sp0j 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those were really risky fights though. They clearly realised the issue after the first two fights and adjusted their team fight approach. Which just helped secure the game. It's encouraging because it shows that communication and understanding is good enough that they can fix something like that in the middle of the game.

    [–]ji3raiaxf 15 points16 points  (6 children)

I also gotta say (not flaming rekkles just that it wasnt 100% teams fault) that rekkles pathing/positioning was a bit out of place in some of this moments. But really nice game by everyone!

    [–]moritz1711 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The 3rd death was 100% his fault!

But I think the first two time he thought that he could step up more, cuz Braum would peel for him, that’s why he died there. My theory at least

    [–]Hylisick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only situation where he was bad positioned was at baron, even tho in the end it looked like he was baiting lol

Kinda obvious that MAD throws everything on him, Olaf and Azir are hard to get and can get out + 2 tanks

    [–]downorwhaet 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He was bait, its a good strat if you have some other carries

    [–]lorien_powers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that baron fight was 100% on him. But its also super hard to play somr fights bcs enemy team has 5 champs that will look to dive. Still at thenlast fight everyon did well

    [–]russellx3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe by the baron but the other two times Braum just needs to be by him and those fights would be so much easier

    [–]InsuranceOne2864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he had terrible positioning at the first fight (the one near baron). Felt like he didn't know where to go.

the second one (the one in the middle) wasn't his fault.

    [–]BigAmmu 122 points123 points  (14 children)

When they play with confidence they just smash. I love it.

    [–][deleted]  (13 children)

      [–]BannanDylan 39 points40 points  (12 children)

      Hindsight is fantastic isn't it?

Like it's great for those to be proved wrong but not many people could see this realistically coming unless you were huffing that copium.

      [–][deleted]  (8 children)

        [–]BannanDylan 32 points33 points  (4 children)

I think fans had every right to be angry/annoyed at the worst split FNC has ever had.

Like it wasn't just a bad split, it was the WORST split in FNC history.

I'm not including those sending death threats etc, you're disgusting if you do that but they are also a loud minority and not anywhere near the average fan.

        [–][deleted]  (3 children)

          [–]holzbude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words

          [–]yuumiocupo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you only support when it's convenient (winning), what's the point? If you are really a fan your support should be inconditional. You are completely right, they have been acting like they are owed something.

          [–]sebaez_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really would award you if I could! 🥇

          [–]vrelamboni 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I dunno I don’t think this was that crazy. Outside of Oscar who was a rookie the other carries were proven to have been good when needed and were clearly not getting an opportunity to even play the game week 1. The second they aren’t getting trolled they look fine, what a coincidence.

          [–]Sky-is-here 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I still believe Oscar has a lot more to show. But he needs to start playing lanes better. Today he went even against gnar which is meh but then played great team fights and all. (Kinda similar to old carzzy in that sense i guess?)

          [–]Separate_Link_846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an avid hopium huffer when it comes to fnc, I never not once doubt the management. They always pull it off. People don't realize how insane being a legacy team, when we have so little amount of teams that manage to be top tier since they formed. G2 is the only one in EU that comes to mind, C9 the only one as NA is concerned, and SKT the one in KR. The rest can fall and maybe come back. FNC is the one team that I will always believe will come back because Sam loves the team and has done wonders to keep us relevant in a market that has been corrected and lots of VC has been lost. We are not throwing away money. We are not downsizing. We're probably still the biggest western org.

Idk who is in charge of our finances but they have my full confidence to translate our capital into the best results available.

Even if we crash and burn again, I have full confidence we won't become TSM. Fiscally responsible and always down to make changes in order to reach the place we deserve.

Shoutout to Nightshare. Draft gapping everyone.

Yall should have more faith. We have not been irrelevant since the team formed. That deserves some benefit of the doubt. No mass exodus either.

          [–]Bfyyy 36 points37 points  (1 child)

Humanoid seems mad, he plays like it, I like it

          [–]BigPetrus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MAD Humanoid was the best Humanoid after all.

          [–]FlamingGoatChariot 35 points36 points  (1 child)

          Oscar finally playing with confidence

          [–]Sky-is-here -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He still looks nervous (for example when he almost solo boloed gnar under his tower at the end of lane phase he kinda just stays still, it's a little bit bizarre tbh) but much better that's for sure.

          [–]Swapnil_Sood 31 points32 points  (5 children)

Great game by Oscarinn. Team fights were a little sussy in start when they were leaving rekkless alone and he died in first two team fights but they made good adjustments for later fights. playing against 3 carries you cant just keep focusing 1 of them. Humanoid knew this and thats why he build complete glass cannon. Good improvement, ceiling is still high though. Atleast we will give G2 something.

          [–]h6xx 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Love to see the team actually peel for Rekkles, winter split Fnatic could never lmao.

          [–]wotad 10 points11 points  (3 children)

Also Humanoid defended Rekkles in the second fight I think it was or maybe the 3rd by then they team overall learned to protect Rekkles a bit, he still died but eh.

          [–]xEmp6 19 points20 points  (1 child)

MAD were obsessed with diving Rekkles to be honest. It started getting a little int. Seeing Sylas AND Gnar fail to kill Rekkles and Sylas die then FNC cleaning up the fight forcing Elyoya to trade onto Rekkles .

          [–]Swapnil_Sood 7 points8 points  (0 children)

that was third fight, yeah sure its a dive comp and they will kill him, but it required setup by nisqy, hyli and still needed to burn both carzyy and elyoya flash and ults. And if u keep using all abilities just to kill jinx, you have nothing for other two carries.

          [–]JosePicaretaDoLixo 27 points28 points  (0 children)

          Draft diff team diff

          [–]AbdDjamil_27 24 points25 points  (3 children)

Oscar took week 1 personally and now he is in a war path and I love it so far

And rekkless playing the faker 2021 world mode ( make everyone focus me and my team will be free to play the game as they wish ) and this play style seems to work great

          [–]Gabuardi 8 points9 points  (2 children)

That’s was awesome, seeing reckless play as bait meat is something I never tough to see

          [–]MrNoixious 3 points4 points  (1 child)

reminds me of the games that teams would hard focus on Faker, while the rest of T1 would just come in and shit on them after using all they had to try and get Faker

          [–]RandomHeroFin 22 points23 points  (10 children)

We somehow changed from complete poo poo to easily beating MAD without breaking a sweat ?

Holy what a turnaround. GJ everybody

          [–]lorien_powers 12 points13 points  (9 children)

Not saying they arent doing good or to take away from them to much. But this mad has been super struggling. But yeah we def look like a team

          [–]RandomHeroFin 5 points6 points  (6 children)

I mean when we aim for 7th or 8th I’ll take that. They looked confident with a lead had a decent map control and Oscarinin while still losing lane was playing good enough to not allow insane snowball from top and later on went Berserk.

For spring that is more than I expected.

          [–]lorien_powers 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same i just really hope we make b03 and just keep this team foe summer. They seem to vibe well togther. And keep nightshare ans hivaa. Love their coachinf/drafts

          [–]Sky-is-here 6 points7 points  (3 children)

I feel like that's gonna become Oscar's thing, he loses lane slightly and then goes berserk and plays great.

          [–]Tene_Rokdon 2 points3 points  (1 child)

To be fair, first week Oscar was kinda winning lane until jungler showed up, then died 1829292 times. This game he respected Elyoya a lot, or maybe Razork was more vocal into tracking him. Whatever the case, he did give up lane dominance due to jungle pressure, gold diff was from tower + plates.

He didn't fall behind, Chasey got a lead over him. However, holding his own and not giving kills (therefore lane pressure) allowed Fnatic to play the rest of the map, punishing bot lane and getting dragons (the same gold diff Chasey had was Rekkles').

I really like how Fnatic, as a team, played the map. Looks like they can trust eachother, Rekkles is more willing to take resources and play more aggro, even if that means dying more, because he trusts his teammates.

          [–]Sky-is-here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oscar first week was kinda inting sometimes. But i actually enjoy him and think he has LEC level (but still needs to improve of course). Still he is doing alright and this game he clearly did great :)

          [–]TheSceptileen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair he didn't have a good matchup in the entire split. Strongside Gnar being 10cs up and getting tower first is totally normal.

          [–]TheSceptileen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best thing about the team is that every game they play they look better than the last, and that's Big coming into groups.

          [–]TheSceptileen 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Damm looks like every team fnatic has been doing good aganist is struggling. It's almost like fnatic is now a good team that wins aganist bad teams or something.

          [–]InsuranceOne2864 103 points104 points  (4 children)

Daily reminder Humanoid is the best midlaner in EU.

          [–]RandomHeroFin 55 points56 points  (3 children)

This game was a remainder of how Hylli looks when the coin turns on wrong side.

Sad to see MAD look clueless there it really looked like Hylli was at his very fucking best last split :(

          [–]Ghazzawy 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Tbh honest , his performance wasn’t his fault, it was whoever decided to lock in naut that early, unless it was him lol

          [–]RandomHeroFin 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hard to blame without context that we obviously don’t have.

Hard to not assign blame when seeing the score classic hylli comes back again :.(

          [–]bolinhodearroztop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so happy he is out finally supports that are not inters life is great

          [–]HeroicBastard 21 points22 points  (1 child)

This subreddit is twice as dead when we stomp than if we loose :(

          [–]Kiyoko_Nasari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No high pulse which keeps you awake through the whole night. ;) And on a more serious note - this will scale up as soon as we beat some real competition. Right now at least for me, its nice to see the team win and I'm happy for the players -nonetheless I'm just no one who gets excited for a fight for 8th place and I assume that is still similar for many fnatic fans.

          [–]VegemiteManatee 52 points53 points  (3 children)

I would like to apologize for flaming Oscar week 1. Actually played like a freak today. You can tell he's so much more confident after those wins last week.

          [–]Previous-Weakness521 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"I owe you an apology I wasn't familiar with your game"

          [–]GoAfkPls 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Props to everyone cheering for the boys this whole time despite the results.

Oscar is a fucking beast Razork is an actual in game leader Humanoids mechanics are insane Rekkles is turning to his former self, if we forget that one hiccup at Baron with positioning he played great game Advienne played himself in the game. The dude is an actual support irl and his decision making saved so many asses today.

          Cheers and keep it up

          [–]Curious-Ad-5930 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Humanoid is a bit too good I think

          [–]Becksdown 13 points14 points  (1 child)

I know its remote and not on stage but you gotta give it to Oscar. I hope Fnatic qualify for the group stages and get to play a few bo3. He has potenial let him get more practice on stage and keep in on his carry champs do not turn him into a tank player. He will make mistakes but he is night and day from week 1.

          [–]Sky-is-here 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we keep going at this rate of improvement by next week he should be a world-class toplaner and by the following week he should be the best toplaner in the world

          [–]AdMaleficent9374 34 points35 points  (16 children)

It’s getting harder to stay out of this sub and fnc games until dard-out because of these wins.

Also, I love nightsharre, rekkles and huma. Oscar seems to be getting comfortable.

          May ivan feel better soon

          [–]alexgh0st 28 points29 points  (15 children)

          dard-out because of these wins.

We should chill with the severe witch hunt, it's not like the guy is the devil and he does genuinely care about FNC and winning. Can look up all the legends in actions from previous seasons and look at his reactions.

In winter we saw him more because Crusher wasn't the best at speaking honestly.

As long as he stays out of coaching and performance, I don't mind.

          [–]ceddo90 8 points9 points  (7 children)

Winning 3 games in a row doesn't negate the fact that fnc became worse and worse each split until since dardo took over. That we are now in a worse position than before dardo took over is a fact that no one can deny. Also it's a fact, that h2k and Origin got way worse since he join... It's not proven that it was his fault every time but... yeah.

I still don't like the strategy of dardo (saving money on players salary to maximise the profit) because it's always the shittiest way to save money.

          [–]alexgh0st 12 points13 points  (6 children)

I was never buying that narrative. Fact is FNC had some banger rosters from 2019 onwards.

Don't get me wrong I think Dardo did a lot of shitty things and if he gets fired I won't be surprised, but how much of fnc failures people attribute to him is a bit insane, with none of the good that happened in those years too.

          [–]Sky-is-here 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbh dardo kinda has become the blame for everything guy. While i think his management is absolutely criticable, sometimes I see people accuse him of things that are directly outside his control, like he doesn't decide everything about fnatic lol

          [–]TheSceptileen 3 points4 points  (3 children)

The fact that people is acting like getting the Wunder-Razork-Humanoid-Upset-Hylissang roster wasn't a massive management W is baffling to me. It doesn't negate the shitfest that last offseason was nor making 2+ FNC stars not wanting to play anymore, tho.

          [–]FantasyTrash 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I have no doubts that Dardo wants the best for Fnatic. And I have nothing against him personally.

But the fact of the matter is, when he has been in charge, poor results have followed. This is a professional organization, if you do not produce results, you do not belong, that's all there is to it.

As long as he stays out of coaching and performance, I don't mind.

His roster decisions have been bad and if he doesn't coach in any capacity, what does he offer to the team? We know he's burned a ton of bridges with former players. If he offers nothing of value to Fnatic except poor relations with former players, he needs to go. The team has made drastic improvements since he's been relieved of his executive role. There's nothing left for him on this team.

          [–]alexgh0st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His roster decisions have been bad and if he doesn't coach in any capacity, what does he offer to the team?

I mean, there is a lot more than a director/ general manager does though. From bureaucratic issues, to logistics, etc.

Take for example getting the players to mexico in the small time frame they had with the whole covid thing.

I suppose he had to juggle so many things and he did it very well.

The FNATIC berlin facility he had a big hand in working with designers, architects, upper management and coordinating everything.

And probably a lot more that we don't know, obviously not alone, but what I did see from all the videos maybe except winter LIA is that the man cares about FNC and winning so, we'll see.

I think his shitty decisions come from - putting winning above everything else and also anything that has to do with performance honestly, and his speeches are also not good so he should refrain from those. This is just my opinion though.

          [–]bawsio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

          [–]MyEnglisHurtsBwipo 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Of course he cares and wants to win I never doubt that. The problem is how he treats the players and coaching staff. Demanding Hily be swapped for Rhuckz when the players and Yamato were against it. Losing Upset by replacing Hyli, telling Nemesis he's out of the team before even playing at Worlds, keeping Selfmade in the team in 21 spring despite the fact the other players didn't want to play with him. Bwipo decided to leave Fnatic because of how management handled things. It's just a really bad track record of mismanagement

          [–]alexgh0st 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Of course he cares and wants to win I never doubt that. The problem is how he treats the players and coaching staff. Demanding Hily be swapped for Rhuckz when the players and Yamato were against it.

Yeah that one is inexcusable honestly, even if Rhuckz looked good, it was Hily's torunament to play and that's the end of it.

Yamato had good words for him in his goodbye video iirc though.

And the Nemesis thing got leaked to nemesis or smth I don't remember.

I don't want to make excuses for him, but I just think people witch hunt and scape goat him for a lot of things that are not only up to him.

          [–]MyEnglisHurtsBwipo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the Nemesis thing got leaked to nemesis or smth I don't remember.

Nemesis says they straight up told him. Months ahead.

I don't want to make excuses for him, but I just think people witch hunt and scape goat him for a lot of things that are not only up to him.

That's fair. I also think it's time we have a change in management. Dardo had more then enough time.

          [–]JohnnyBrawoo 32 points33 points  (1 child)

Marek Brazda when he wants to play is unstoppable. Unreal player, should be the face of Fnatic for many years

          [–]LordKntLoL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if he manages to find motivation long term, which I don't think he can :(

          [–][deleted] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oscar went from getting goomba'd by Irrelevant to outshining Chasy you love to see the development.

          [–]lilQuebo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good performance, one thing that stinks is they seem completely terrible at peeling for their adc, but maybe it Was the gameplan. Olaf and Azir could just do the cleanup

          [–]sterwxq 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oscarinin i am sorry for flaming you after week 1. It seems the addition of Advienne and Oscarinin was the way to go. We look really solid i am convinced after this game. So it was the sickness in the week 1. Hyped for g2 game

          [–]DemonikJD 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Interesting to see all the coin flip "fans" change their tune recently.

Being on the receiving end of Hylissang inting feels good

          [–]Vojtaskos58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good punishment in the draft phase, our draft was infinitely better. Thank god zeus made it from korea to play for us today, if he stays here for tommorows game we may win!

          [–]PatrinJM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see that the team is clicking, let's see how they do vs g2, a game that I think is going to be a good representation of the teams level.

          [–]Revolutionary-Sun151 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We were starving, but now we're eating good 🙏

          Two more guys!!!

Another win, Captain Daddy so generous he let's the other shine.

          [–]VelikKolev 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Massive win and lovely game! But I want to take a moment and put a massive respect for the fans in the studio! Those chants at the start were INSANE! I loved it. Even when our team is not physically there!

          [–]nekoboi91 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I said this after the game against bds. "Or maybe they are sick due to flu season and not playing 100% which is my thoughts they don't look paticularly healthy even in legends in action." and got down voted to hell. Well seems I have the last laugh mwhahaha they look so much better and are playing clean. Mostly

          [–]andreiVOL 14 points15 points  (2 children)

          Hyli Nautilus man, always delivers!

On a more serious note, good game overall, they left Rekkles to the wolves twice, but we won, so it s ok, just be more careful in the next games.

          [–]Gabuardi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In certain way that’s a strategy, looks the play when Rekkles goes alone in the mid bush but all the team is waiting on the other side, the old and classic bait technique

          [–]Kiyoko_Nasari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True - I must say I like Adviennes Nautilus. Such a contrast for me.

          OSCAR! YES!

          [–]DShadows98 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Lets goooo. Tomorrow they can play without any fear and probably can win against Ast. At least tiebraker should be secured and what matters even more, they are playing better and better the more they play

          [–]Roochioo 6 points7 points  (1 child)

tomorrow they play vs G2, so its going to be MORE insane! i cant wait <3

          [–]DShadows98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They can win I believe <3

          [–]TheSceptileen 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Every time fnatic wins or even does good in a game I keep seeing people talking about how the opposite team "Inted" or "griefed" the draft, trying to take away FNC's merits.

I don't know, but if teams keep picking shit drafts aganist is maybe

          it's almost like

          we are good at drafting?

          [–]kiknalex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3 games in a row we just pick scale into early game comp, we manage to win or go even in early = enemy inted draft

          [–]MiliW_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

          Hyli is still a homie

          [–]axpavli 4 points5 points  (0 children)

          OSCAR MVP

          [–]Background-Plant-490 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We are pretty damn good. I love seeing us draft like this. Champions that others for some reason don't play. Olaf and Jinx are still pretty nutty. We have improved alot an that is great to see.

          Fire Dardo!

          [–]tananinho 6 points7 points  (7 children)

Nice to see Fnatic winning some games even if against lower placed teams.

This temporary roster can get to the Bo3 stage.

Nice to see inting Hyli on the other team for a change.

          [–]StivThe8thDwarf -3 points-2 points  (6 children)

"Lower placed teams"? Man we just won vs MAD. It's not "lower placed teams". Pls.

          [–]IconicRecipes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This loss has moved MAD into joint last place. They are objectively the lowest ranked team in the league alongside HRT and XL.

It's still huge for us in terms of standings and the team is clearly playing much better than they have all year, but it's still a lower placed team.

          [–]Kiyoko_Nasari 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Really? 2/5 is the higher placed teams? Come on now. Its like he said - great to pick up those wins, but nonetheless our wins so far are only agains lower or middle teams.

          [–]downorwhaet 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Koi had just beaten g2 and was 3-2, they were top 5

          [–]Kiyoko_Nasari -1 points0 points  (2 children)

KOI is all over the place but no where near a good team. You can't even make a convincing case for KOI, like to see your arguments for our other two wins.

Again - we can be very happy for the turnaround, but you arguing "lower placed teams" is just silly.

          [–]wortal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

always knew they could do it

          [–]Jolly_Scholar_4445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

          [–]Wonderful-Cable-7142 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked the draft and the vision check on Elyoya. They knew where he was at all times and that is always positive because he is usually the one who lanes the early MAD. I am sorry that Hyli this split is playing quite badly, however, today trying against us is appreciated. There is improvement compared to the last split and hopefully we will reach the best of 3 to see what ceiling the team has. Tomorrow G2 looks very very difficult, but we will see at least we have 1 victory over Heretics, Mad and Excel and with a better state of mind

          [–]Kollsta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Hiva just omega gomba stomped them in draft. Braum olaf azir sej into full melee dive just put them in the dirt

          [–]susa_66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WP to this Oscar he played safe during week 1 phase, minimized int and yea he let some games go but now hes scaled and is working with his team to win the split! Well played to this Oscar!

          [–]uvPooF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super happy for Oscar. I criticised him in the first week and honestly his 2nd week also wasn't great. But today was definitely his best game so far, he played controlled in lane despite being focus of ganks and used his advantage well in late game. Also liking the Olaf pick, it's really good champ to have in backpocket for when he fits the draft.

          [–]Katzblazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely if we commit every single thing on rekkless we will win the game, surely.

          [–]Previous-Weakness521 3 points4 points  (2 children)

We are so back baby I'm so happy with the win HOWEVER I think it's alarming the amount of times the team just kinda forgot about rekkles and left him alone to die it's okay here because there's Oscar and huma but having your adc alive gives less window for the enemy to win the fight so if they want to have even a shot against G2 they need to fix this issue asap

          [–]Housumestari -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Tbh at few times I feel like Rekkles was out of position at the start of teamfights and hence got caught. So it wasn't all on his teammates. But some fights for sure he was left alone, not disputing that

Edit: for the downvoters. I'm like the biggest Rekkles fan you could find but that doesn't blind me from seeing an adc out of position. And as I said I wasn't disputing that his team definitely left him alone but it wasn't all on them every fight. Like for example near baron he chose a bad path and almost died because of it.

          [–]Previous-Weakness521 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah ironically I think the one time he got caught because of bad positioning was at the baron when sylas went on him and he flashed him to his team mates and then mad got almost aced So I think he played that really well but yeah it was definitely his fault at that moment for walking up blind alone to baron but before that it kinda felt like the team got way too excited and forgot about him it looked so sad tbh lmao

          [–]PekiTheRedditUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our boys are on fire. Would love seeing them beat G2 tomorrow.

Oscar found his confidence (maybe not playing on the stage helps, but we take those baby steps)

          [–]Krippen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

          Shoutout to Pedro.

My man predicted Oscarinin's trajectory with lazer precision.

Went out tonight, couldn’t bear to look at the results…we fucking did it let’s fucking go 💪

          [–]breedbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightshare is really smurfing in the coach role in general, judging from the Legends in Action videos. Love his whole approach to building up the team not just gameplay wise but out of the game too

          [–]StivThe8thDwarf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just to don't forget, we still want #DARDOUT .

          [–]Tilterdin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

          Absolute Oscarinin 1v9

          [–]HermannZeGerman 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Where you haters now? I told you Oscar is a step up and he delivers

          [–]xEmp6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wunder wouldn't play Olaf after picking Yuumi in scrims against Adam back on G2.

          [–]RandomHeroFin -2 points-1 points  (4 children)

Ok. I hate to be this guy especially after Oscar had a great game but:

          • he was still way behind in lane
          • his wave/lane managment needs polish
          • we don’t play for him at all even tho synergy between Olaf and Sej is insane and he deffo had kill pressure even from behind.

Everything above can be fixed with time but I wouldn’t say that his performance in a stomp like that merits shitting on Wunder. No need to sour the already broken relationship with a player who did very well for us before.

          [–]SkinwalkerFanAccount 9 points10 points  (3 children)

he was still way behind in lane

He was behind in lane after like 2 ganks from Elyoya. He was playing weakside, Sejuani never really threatened top, except to die for that one crab.

we don’t play for him at all even tho synergy between Olaf and Sej is insane and he deffo had kill pressure even from behind.

We don't have to play for him, Sejuani + Braum (first rotation) murder Nautilus any time they want to. Getting a hypercarry like Jinx ahead isn't a bad plan IMO, even if it comes at the expense of top lane.

          [–]Chenz 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Razork played in another room because he’s sick, then immediately goes in to hug his teammates after the win? No wonder they’re always sick, who is managing this team?

On a more serious note, it’s impressive how cArn has managed to turn this team around. They’re not a top 4 team (yet, at least), but they look like a completely different team.

          [–]Majestic_Platypus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Listen if they keep playing like this they can go around licking every door handle they see for all I care.

Fnatic being 1 game apart from Vitality even though they have Lord Upset that every man and his dog on this sub simps for makes me laugh so hard lmao.

          [–]cezarpetre -1 points0 points  (6 children)

Good stuff. Would have liked Malphite more in the draft but Oscar just ran them over on the Olaf. If they just didn't throw their Jinx to the wolves while ahead it would have been perfect.

          [–]Supr3me_T 31 points32 points  (4 children)

Nah Bro blinding malph there was what Mad wanted, they wanted sylas anyway so giving them malph ult would have been terrible. Great decision by the Coach to Pick Olaf instead there

          [–]Deathscyce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. FNC already had a beefy frontline with Sej and Braum, a Malphite would have been very bad into a Lee Sin kick or a stolen Sylas ult.

The Olaf pick made so much sense. While MAD played an all in comp, Oscar could just tear through the carries without being able to be stopped.

Finally we see good drafts. A very balanced, easy to play team comp.

          [–]StivThe8thDwarf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Olaf was WAY better than Malp, Sylas with Malp's ult has CC+gap closer, while with Olaf he has nothing. Literally, he had 0 strong ult to go on Jinx. And they tried their best to peel the Jinx, with Olaf and Advienne turning on Jinx a soon as they possibly can.

          [–]JohnnyBrawoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

          Hyli <3

          [–]Lrd97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fnatic is playing really well, all players honestly, even with a lot of sick players during this split. But I got to promps the new coach staff, our drafts have been simply amazing, 2 very easy wins in a row because we played well early and our comp was simply WAY better in team fights and scaling. So, well done for them as well

          [–]Resouledxx -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Good game, that Olaf last pick was absolute draft kingdom, proud of Oscar. Rekkless positioning was a bit of a yikes though. Yes not much he can do when get targeted like that but he disrespected some vision and also made it a lot harder for the team to help him by kiting/flashing away from them.

          [–]DShadows98 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

I don't want to be that guy but I can't ignore it, why Rekkles and Huma never hug... :( I hope they will do it in playoffs ;)

          [–]Previous-Weakness521 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe he needs more time because I think only razork gets close with humanoid Rn (ironically) because they played for so long

          [–]sp0j 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably don't mesh personally. It's fine if it doesn't affect performance and they still work well professionally.

[–]Kaellyon xdd enjoyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Them not hugging is not the end-of-the-world kinda problem as long as they perform and respect each other but yeah it makes me a bit sad knowing that Rekkles always had the best relationship with his ex-midlaners, xPeke, Febiven, Caps, and Nemesis.
