Nightshare is really smurfing in the coach role in general, judging from the Legends in Action videos. Love his whole approach to building up the team not just gameplay wise but out of the game too

Especially considering the insane circumstances. Between the pressure of a massive fanbase out for blood, and basically every member of the team getting sick on rotation during the 3 weeks of the split, it's honestly impressive.

I was watching it yesterday and I really like his approach of anonymously getting people to effectively say what the good and bad things are for each player. It’s a bold move but if nobody knows what their flaws are they can’t fix them and whilst it’s hard, everyone has good and bad and it’s important for the team to be open about what those problems are.

We as a community can sit and say “x person is trash” but we see a small selection of their games every week and it’s far more accurate and important to get that feedback from your teammates, even if it does hurt.

And you could see when Razork was like “I don’t even care about the positives now”, it’s hard to hear sometimes and people will get defensive when it comes from people they respect, but I think it’s the correct move. It clears the air and helps people recognise the error of their ways.

Additionally I like his attitude. He’s approachable but he clearly doesn’t abide too much fucking around either.

Also him and Hiiva have smurfed the last 3 drafts. Idk how they keep getting away with it 😂

To be fair, MADs draft was good on paper as well. You have Lee Sin who can easily kick an immobile Jinx into the team (happened over and over again), a Kai'Sa to follow suit, a frontline in Gnar and a Sylas who is very solid all around.

BUT FNC played it really well and the Olaf pick kinda destroyed the whole ALL IN plan by not caring about the engage champs and going straight to the carries.

dude, no. Relying on Lee Sin kicking jinx into your team when you are against Braum/Sej/Olaf/Azir/Jinx is not a good draft lmao. This was the most obvious draft gap all season in LEC

    To be fair on that second fight (the one where elyoya ends up killing him) MAD did full psycho throw the fight to kill him so thats a sufficient level of peel

    Mad sold the farm to kill Rekkles every fight. Not every fight can be a clean ace. Trading 3-4 kills for Rekkles is an easy win for Fnatic. Could they have peeled better for him or he positioned better? Probably. Did Fnatic still posture in a way that they force Mad to sacrifice way too much to kill Rekkles? Yes. Win-win for the boys.

    Those were really risky fights though. They clearly realised the issue after the first two fights and adjusted their team fight approach. Which just helped secure the game. It's encouraging because it shows that communication and understanding is good enough that they can fix something like that in the middle of the game.

    I also gotta say (not flaming rekkles just that it wasnt 100% teams fault) that rekkles pathing/positioning was a bit out of place in some of this moments. But really nice game by everyone!

    Yeah that baron fight was 100% on him. But its also super hard to play somr fights bcs enemy team has 5 champs that will look to dive. Still at thenlast fight everyon did well

        I think fans had every right to be angry/annoyed at the worst split FNC has ever had.

        Like it wasn't just a bad split, it was the WORST split in FNC history.

        I'm not including those sending death threats etc, you're disgusting if you do that but they are also a loud minority and not anywhere near the average fan.

            I dunno I don’t think this was that crazy. Outside of Oscar who was a rookie the other carries were proven to have been good when needed and were clearly not getting an opportunity to even play the game week 1. The second they aren’t getting trolled they look fine, what a coincidence.

            I still believe Oscar has a lot more to show. But he needs to start playing lanes better. Today he went even against gnar which is meh but then played great team fights and all. (Kinda similar to old carzzy in that sense i guess?)

            As an avid hopium huffer when it comes to fnc, I never not once doubt the management. They always pull it off. People don't realize how insane being a legacy team, when we have so little amount of teams that manage to be top tier since they formed. G2 is the only one in EU that comes to mind, C9 the only one as NA is concerned, and SKT the one in KR. The rest can fall and maybe come back. FNC is the one team that I will always believe will come back because Sam loves the team and has done wonders to keep us relevant in a market that has been corrected and lots of VC has been lost. We are not throwing away money. We are not downsizing. We're probably still the biggest western org.

            Idk who is in charge of our finances but they have my full confidence to translate our capital into the best results available.

            Even if we crash and burn again, I have full confidence we won't become TSM. Fiscally responsible and always down to make changes in order to reach the place we deserve.

            Shoutout to Nightshare. Draft gapping everyone.

            Yall should have more faith. We have not been irrelevant since the team formed. That deserves some benefit of the doubt. No mass exodus either.

            Great game by Oscarinn. Team fights were a little sussy in start when they were leaving rekkless alone and he died in first two team fights but they made good adjustments for later fights. playing against 3 carries you cant just keep focusing 1 of them. Humanoid knew this and thats why he build complete glass cannon. Good improvement, ceiling is still high though. Atleast we will give G2 something.

            Also Humanoid defended Rekkles in the second fight I think it was or maybe the 3rd by then they team overall learned to protect Rekkles a bit, he still died but eh.

            MAD were obsessed with diving Rekkles to be honest. It started getting a little int. Seeing Sylas AND Gnar fail to kill Rekkles and Sylas die then FNC cleaning up the fight forcing Elyoya to trade onto Rekkles .

            that was third fight, yeah sure its a dive comp and they will kill him, but it required setup by nisqy, hyli and still needed to burn both carzyy and elyoya flash and ults. And if u keep using all abilities just to kill jinx, you have nothing for other two carries.

            I mean when we aim for 7th or 8th I’ll take that. They looked confident with a lead had a decent map control and Oscarinin while still losing lane was playing good enough to not allow insane snowball from top and later on went Berserk.

            To be fair, first week Oscar was kinda winning lane until jungler showed up, then died 1829292 times. This game he respected Elyoya a lot, or maybe Razork was more vocal into tracking him. Whatever the case, he did give up lane dominance due to jungle pressure, gold diff was from tower + plates.

            He didn't fall behind, Chasey got a lead over him. However, holding his own and not giving kills (therefore lane pressure) allowed Fnatic to play the rest of the map, punishing bot lane and getting dragons (the same gold diff Chasey had was Rekkles').

            I really like how Fnatic, as a team, played the map. Looks like they can trust eachother, Rekkles is more willing to take resources and play more aggro, even if that means dying more, because he trusts his teammates.

            Oscar first week was kinda inting sometimes. But i actually enjoy him and think he has LEC level (but still needs to improve of course). Still he is doing alright and this game he clearly did great :)

Right now at least for me, its nice to see the team win and I'm happy for the players -nonetheless I'm just no one who gets excited for a fight for 8th place and I assume that is still similar for many fnatic fans.

              Oscar is a fucking beast Razork is an actual in game leader Humanoids mechanics are insane Rekkles is turning to his former self, if we forget that one hiccup at Baron with positioning he played great game Advienne played himself in the game. The dude is an actual support irl and his decision making saved so many asses today.

              I know its remote and not on stage but you gotta give it to Oscar. I hope Fnatic qualify for the group stages and get to play a few bo3. He has potenial let him get more practice on stage and keep in on his carry champs do not turn him into a tank player. He will make mistakes but he is night and day from week 1.

              We should chill with the severe witch hunt, it's not like the guy is the devil and he does genuinely care about FNC and winning. Can look up all the legends in actions from previous seasons and look at his reactions.

              In winter we saw him more because Crusher wasn't the best at speaking honestly.

              As long as he stays out of coaching and performance, I don't mind.

              Winning 3 games in a row doesn't negate the fact that fnc became worse and worse each split until since dardo took over. That we are now in a worse position than before dardo took over is a fact that no one can deny. Also it's a fact, that h2k and Origin got way worse since he join... It's not proven that it was his fault every time but... yeah.

              I still don't like the strategy of dardo (saving money on players salary to maximise the profit) because it's always the shittiest way to save money.

              I was never buying that narrative. Fact is FNC had some banger rosters from 2019 onwards.

              Don't get me wrong I think Dardo did a lot of shitty things and if he gets fired I won't be surprised, but how much of fnc failures people attribute to him is a bit insane, with none of the good that happened in those years too.

              Tbh dardo kinda has become the blame for everything guy. While i think his management is absolutely criticable, sometimes I see people accuse him of things that are directly outside his control, like he doesn't decide everything about fnatic lol

              The fact that people is acting like getting the Wunder-Razork-Humanoid-Upset-Hylissang roster wasn't a massive management W is baffling to me. It doesn't negate the shitfest that last offseason was nor making 2+ FNC stars not wanting to play anymore, tho.

                I have no doubts that Dardo wants the best for Fnatic. And I have nothing against him personally.

                But the fact of the matter is, when he has been in charge, poor results have followed. This is a professional organization, if you do not produce results, you do not belong, that's all there is to it.

                As long as he stays out of coaching and performance, I don't mind.

                His roster decisions have been bad and if he doesn't coach in any capacity, what does he offer to the team? We know he's burned a ton of bridges with former players. If he offers nothing of value to Fnatic except poor relations with former players, he needs to go. The team has made drastic improvements since he's been relieved of his executive role. There's nothing left for him on this team.

                I mean, there is a lot more than a director/ general manager does though. From bureaucratic issues, to logistics, etc.

                Take for example getting the players to mexico in the small time frame they had with the whole covid thing.

                I suppose he had to juggle so many things and he did it very well.

                The FNATIC berlin facility he had a big hand in working with designers, architects, upper management and coordinating everything.

                And probably a lot more that we don't know, obviously not alone, but what I did see from all the videos maybe except winter LIA is that the man cares about FNC and winning so, we'll see.

                I think his shitty decisions come from - putting winning above everything else and also anything that has to do with performance honestly, and his speeches are also not good so he should refrain from those. This is just my opinion though.

Demanding Hily be swapped for Rhuckz when the players and Yamato were against it. Losing Upset by replacing Hyli, telling Nemesis he's out of the team before even playing at Worlds, keeping Selfmade in the team in 21 spring despite the fact the other players didn't want to play with him. Bwipo decided to leave Fnatic because of how management handled things. It's just a really bad track record of mismanagement

                  Good performance, one thing that stinks is they seem completely terrible at peeling for their adc, but maybe it Was the gameplan. Olaf and Azir could just do the cleanup

                  This loss has moved MAD into joint last place. They are objectively the lowest ranked team in the league alongside HRT and XL.

                  It's still huge for us in terms of standings and the team is clearly playing much better than they have all year, but it's still a lower placed team.

                  I really liked the draft and the vision check on Elyoya. They knew where he was at all times and that is always positive because he is usually the one who lanes the early MAD. I am sorry that Hyli this split is playing quite badly, however, today trying against us is appreciated. There is improvement compared to the last split and hopefully we will reach the best of 3 to see what ceiling the team has. Tomorrow G2 looks very very difficult, but we will see at least we have 1 victory over Heretics, Mad and Excel and with a better state of mind

                  Super happy for Oscar. I criticised him in the first week and honestly his 2nd week also wasn't great. But today was definitely his best game so far, he played controlled in lane despite being focus of ganks and used his advantage well in late game. Also liking the Olaf pick, it's really good champ to have in backpocket for when he fits the draft.

                  Tbh at few times I feel like Rekkles was out of position at the start of teamfights and hence got caught. So it wasn't all on his teammates. But some fights for sure he was left alone, not disputing that

                  Edit: for the downvoters. I'm like the biggest Rekkles fan you could find but that doesn't blind me from seeing an adc out of position. And as I said I wasn't disputing that his team definitely left him alone but it wasn't all on them every fight. Like for example near baron he chose a bad path and almost died because of it.

                  Totally agree. FNC already had a beefy frontline with Sej and Braum, a Malphite would have been very bad into a Lee Sin kick or a stolen Sylas ult.

                  The Olaf pick made so much sense. While MAD played an all in comp, Oscar could just tear through the carries without being able to be stopped.

                  Finally we see good drafts. A very balanced, easy to play team comp.

                    Olaf was WAY better than Malp, Sylas with Malp's ult has CC+gap closer, while with Olaf he has nothing. Literally, he had 0 strong ult to go on Jinx. And they tried their best to peel the Jinx, with Olaf and Advienne turning on Jinx a soon as they possibly can.

But I got to promps the new coach staff, our drafts have been simply amazing, 2 very easy wins in a row because we played well early and our comp was simply WAY better in team fights and scaling.
