This happens more so at outside shows. People treat them like they are at a beer garden and a band just so happens to be playing.
I was at this gig, and was kind of shocked at how brazen the talkers were. We were near-ish to the front, and there was a group of 5-6 people nearby us just talking about unrelated stuff at full volume the entire show, and whenever the band played a slower/more obscure number I could hear lots of general chatter. Didn't ruin the show or anything but it was definitely noticeable.
I was at the show too and noticed the same thing. This is the second concert I’ve been to in the last couple months where I’ve been incredibly distracted by the crowd. Maybe I’m getting old or maybe it’s changing? I’ve found people are unsettled, talking, getting up and down, walking through and overall just not watching the damn show.
