A place & resources for those aspiring to explore the world through literature, for those aiming to read at least one book from every country, for those traveling to experience books and bookshops and libraries and to read in charted and uncharted places.
Soviet literature
if i wanted to put specifically underrated soviet literature in my reading list, which would you recommend? what i mean by that is other than bulgakov, pasternak, grossman, solzhenitsyn and the other very famous ones
Looking for magical realism recommendations that aren't Murakami or Marquez
Just finished 100 Years of Solitude and adored it so I am on a magical realism kick. Preferably something that isn't so depressing/Kafkaesque but that's not a dealbreaker. Thanks for your recommendations!
In 2020 when traveling was banned I decided to replace it with reading a book from each country of the world. I mapped out the places that I have read already and started picking up literature from new places. Currently standing at 50 countries and looking forwards to more.
