[–]gandhigy 85 points86 points  (15 children)

https://youtube.com/c/AlexanderTheGreatTV

His YouTube channel.

He went to prison. Reformed. Worked at goodwill after release. Someone said you are to good looking to be at goodwill. He took some pics and got signed by some modeling agency.

His YouTube video on prison foods and life is interesting.

[–]Rare_Cow_4892 46 points47 points  (5 children)

That’s pretty cool. I expected him to have an English accent from this pic, but turns out he kinda sounds like Bryan Callen ha

I agree he’s good-looking enough to be a model, but idk if “too good-looking for goodwill” is much of a compliment haha

[–]bassinine 15 points16 points  (2 children)

i wonder if these people have ever asked themselves if good looking people like you commenting on their appearance any more than ugly people do.

[–]BellEpoch[🍰] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just like with anyone, it's entirely dependent on whether or not they want that attention from the person.

[–]abrecade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that he doesn't deserve to be a model, but I thought that sentence was going to end with "and he said he's not too good looking for goodwill and started his own charity" or something.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He’s got a cool story and it’s cool that he turned his life around the way he did. If anyone here gets a chance to check him I suggest to do it.

[–]WitchySocialist 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Looking through that channel's subs, the dude supports the alt-right nazi shitstain who happens to do prison-related content too. Fuck Lil' Charming, bet the dude is absolute scum.

[–]303trance 9 points10 points  (1 child)

He's gonna go "Prince Charmin" on her ass - softly push her shit in.

[–]CaptainM1997 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Pop goes Punk: Flynn Ryder

[–]Bonkers_123 87 points88 points  (19 children)

I think this guy actually has been in prison, im not entirely sure but i think he makes YouTube shorts about that time.

[–]Rare_Cow_4892 74 points75 points  (1 child)

Prison Charming?

[–]Keeyes 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Prince Charged with Assault

[–]Sun-Scorcher 27 points28 points  (4 children)

He does, I remember one short where he was telling people about making shivs and another about prison wine.

[–]GiveHerDPS 23 points24 points  (1 child)

He's like stories from the ER guy but for prison

[–]TendedKibbles0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

steveioe vs Alexander whatever the rest of it is, both entertaining tho

[–]Shut-the-fuck-up- 21 points22 points  (2 children)

Yeah he served like 10 years or close to it. Saw a video of him explaining his charges.

[–]ThePhant0mBlue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I couldn't find the article they where talking about, but apparently what he said wasn't true at all. Instead of being the victim. He was the agggeesor. So apparently he got out of his car while being mad at a dude. The person got out then he stabbed him and left him on the highway. Which makes more sense then his previous statement where he said he didn't call the cops after the altercation. Which just doesn't make sense.

[–]abajasiesu 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I imagine all those comments people like to make about being so pretty would do well in prison were specially made with this guy in mind. Could you imagine how crazy things would get when everyone sees this guy walk into a prison? Definitely be popular.

[–]twittermax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, noticed him from tiktok talking about prison life. thealexanderdenning is his tiktok.

[–]peacefulbelovedfish 221 points222 points  (8 children)

r/rarecompliments seems like a better home to me :)

[–]Jahonay 96 points97 points  (1 child)

"This guy looks so handsome he could be a prince in a disney movie."

WHAT AN INSULT, absolutely demolished. Take that handsome man.

[–]peacefulbelovedfish 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You...man! You gorgeous gorgeous man!

[–]NCSUGrad2012 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Seriously, this dude definitely follows rules 1 and 2.

[–]PaulMcPaulersn7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What about rule 3 - 34

[–]itssosalty 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Agreed. Not sure the insult here. Disney prince with tats is all that is being said. So super good looking man with tattoos?

[–]I_Hate_John 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super good looking man with terrible tattoos.

[–]SebThePerson_69420 376 points377 points  (109 children)

Why is it so accurate

[–]Spirckle 349 points350 points  (92 children)

Because he is practically cartoonishly handsome and has those luxuriously wavy locks, yet you know from the tattoos that he probably identifies as a hick-in-the-sticks and drives a pickup truck whose only purpose is to roll smoke

[–]Daze_Confuse 139 points140 points  (42 children)

I know a lot of those self-identified “hicks-in-the-sticks” but none of them have neck tattoos lol.

[–]OmniYummie 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Right? In central and north AL, I've maybe seen two neck tattoos total. It's just not the style.

...but I'd let this dude pick me up in a Harbor Freight parking lot in a heartbeat.

[–]nicholasbees 28 points29 points  (25 children)

Im from Texas and have never met a single "hick/red-neck" with a neck tattoo.

Maybe hes talking about Michigan? 💁

[–]Daze_Confuse 21 points22 points  (16 children)

Maybe it’s unreasonable, but I’ve always associated neck tattoos of this size with gangs/prisoners.

[–]_S3RAPH_ 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Other commenters further down said this guy is an ex-con, so looks like you were right.

[–]AndrewWaldron 3 points4 points  (2 children)

ex-con

I never really thought about it but wouldn't an ex-con be someone who had their conviction expunged in some way? A convict isn't just someone who's incarcerated, it's someone who's been convicted. That doesn't go away regardless of if you're in our out of prison/jail or have completely served your sentence. Ex-inmate makes (sorta) sense, but ex-con(vict) really kinda doesn't.

[–]Snowsteel 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You made me curious so I looked up the definition of convict:

"a person found guilty of a criminal offense and serving a sentence of imprisonment."

So part of the definition does require them to be currently serving out their sentence.

[–]fastfood12 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In my area, people with neck tattoos are either hipsters, white trash, or a weird white trash hipster hybrid.

[–]CerealandTrees 4 points5 points  (2 children)

He's probably just from Los Angeles

[–]happydogday22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's from Minneapolis

[–]89141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was gonna say that neck tattoo’s are pretty common on the best coast. I’m in Vegas and it seems every bar tender/server has one.

[–]nicholasbees 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I take it back. Theres this party kid from Plano thats in a band called Polyphia, hes got a neck tattoo bigger than this guy

Not a hick. Nor been in prison.

Takes all kinds 🤗

[–]georgesgettingupset 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so, it takes about 3 kinds.

  1. People who don’t worry about getting average everyday-person employment because they are used to operating outside of normal society and often the law.

  2. People who don’t worry about getting average everyday-person employment because they don’t need it. They are so rich they don’t need it, or they found success in an unusual field like as a rock musician, or both. Like Tim from Polyphia.

  3. People who do need average employment but are idiots and made a horrible life choice trying to look cool/tough.

[–]ovarova 1 point2 points  (3 children)

these days I'd say its unreasonable. tattoos have become a lot more mainstream

edit: turns out he was in prison but I stand by my statement

[–]Daze_Confuse 12 points13 points  (2 children)

Tattoos in general are more mainstream for sure, but giant neck tattoo still screams “poor decision” in our culture.

[–]doooom 4 points5 points  (4 children)

I'm from North Georgia and have seen plenty of neck tattoos but they're on meth heads and pill heads, not traditional rednecks

[–]Prysorra2 30 points31 points  (9 children)

When they say bad neighborhood, they don’t necessarily mean yours.

[–]FunnierBaker 7 points8 points  (1 child)

The person he responded to said "hick-in-the-stick," which is a very specific subspecies of bad-neighborhood.

[–]FullPew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must have skipped school the day they taught this lesson

[–]Daze_Confuse 11 points12 points  (6 children)

Sick burn?

[–]BigShitZonker -1 points0 points  (5 children)

Nobody was burning you, just like nobody asked how many hicks you knew.

[–]Daze_Confuse 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Did anybody ask you to make this comment? Or did you just assume that you don’t need to be asked a question to contribute to a public forum?

[–]proerafortyseven 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I know plenty who do, anecdotally

[–]Roofdragon 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Right but because you do and he doesn't we're set on this guy has to be a "hick"

The classic logic. The classic Reddit brick wall too.

[–]Spirckle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, just because the guy is an ex-con, doesn't mean he is or isn't a hick. He could be both you know or all the above or just on Thursdays or whatever. We're talking about a look, without necessarily knowing the reality of his life.... One can comment on the look or one can comment on how the guy thinks of himself... we're kindof doing the former now.

[–]twittermax 57 points58 points  (16 children)

He’s actually a guy that was in prison that talks about what prison life was like on tiktok. Pretty engaging content. Not a hick in the sticks personality at all. thealexanderdenning is his tiktok handle

[–]CXXXS 13 points14 points  (11 children)

I've come across his videos on YouTube shorts. (I say I don't use Tik Tok, but all the YouTube shorts videos have the Tik Tok watermark, so I'm pretty sure I do actually watch Til Tok lol)

He is really likable personality!

[–]BilllisCool 29 points30 points  (1 child)

You got your stereotypes confused.

[–]RandyBoBandy33 7 points8 points  (5 children)

He also stabbed a person, disabled the guys car so he couldn’t get help, and left him to die lol

[–]DicklessWeasel 1 point2 points  (4 children)

I mean if his story is accurate, the pin cushion provoked the altercation. Assuming it's all true, I don't think stabbing him was the problem. He should've contacted authorities asap though and he may have done minimal time or no time at all - again if the story is legit.

[–]Cosey28 4 points5 points  (3 children)

He was charged with attempted murder but given probation. Then he committed a robbery and was found with a gun so went to prison for six years. There’s an article about it on his TikTok, thealexanderdenning. He has a pretty interesting story, and it looks like he’s really turned his life around.

[–]RandyBoBandy33 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Interesting, I wasn’t aware of the robbery part. I guess I just assumed he did 6 years for the stabbing incident - sure the stabbing may have been justified but disabling the vehicle, leaving, not calling it in, and destroying evidence made it seem like an absolute home run for even the laziest prosecution

[–]Cosey28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only know what was in the news article on his TikTok lol. But the whole situation is pretty strange, honestly. I might see if I can find more info on the initial stabbing. I was really surprised to find out this guy is from Minnesota though, crazy when shit like this happens in your backyard and then you find out about it on Reddit years later.

[–]MuhNamesTyler 9 points10 points  (4 children)

But what if he wears a black turtle neck everywhere and looks like a Steve Jobs intellectual type

[–]Spirckle 4 points5 points  (3 children)

Then he'll have the best of all worlds. Being all intellectual and stuff and secretly thinking that 'if they just knew...' and it being like a big private joke. It would make him mysterious in addition to being intellectual and handsome.

[–]SLAUGHTER_MY_ANUS 7 points8 points  (2 children)

Haha yeah like gran always said, like havin a massive cock but lettin it sit coiled up in your underwear like a fat snake LOL

[–]infinifunny 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I do the same after a huge meal. Who has the biggest poops? Me. Confidence booster for sure.

[–]TheGreenGobblr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t identify as a hick-in-the-sticks, he is a model and former inmate from attempted murder charges

[–]redditor2redditor 2 points3 points  (1 child)

He looks like prince caspian from narnia just got tattoos

[–]bigdumbidiot01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

neck/face tats aren't really a 'hick' thing, more of a YouTube influencer aping hip hop culture and desperately trying to add some kind of 'edge' to their image even though they're obviously super soft

[–]Assfullofbread 3 points4 points  (1 child)

I reckon he’s actually an ex convict

[–]infinifunny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What better way to show the world

[–]nicjaggertc 11 points12 points  (9 children)

Why do tattoos insinuate bad neighborhood?

[–]corvenzo 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Well done tattoos usually don't but face/neck tattoos are sometimes seen as more trashy

[–]Unit061 3 points4 points  (3 children)

The tattoos themselves don't, but this guy did spend some time in prison

[–]plusms 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Right?? Like tattoos are fucking expensive man, idk.

[–]mak484 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Good ones are, sure. And let's not pretend that there aren't poor people who spend all their money on shitty tattoos, vapes, scratchers, lift kits, etc.

[–]Ivegotthatboomboom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like it's not even an insult. I just found a perfect way to describe my type of man lol

[–]Swimming__Bird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because of a beauty filter he's using. His bottom lip is blurred and his face has that smooth to slightly smudged look of a filter.

[–]unedited_swype 1 point2 points  (1 child)

My guess is he's in a metal band. Probably metalcore they're usually a mix of insane tats and decent-good looking dudes.

[–]Catronia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ex-con. Armed robbery.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impossible Disney hair. If you look at his youtube, or any other photos…he was not always this attractive, he lost weight, has a really good hair care routine. With a different hairstyle and facial hair he isn’t so cute.

[–]jordnray 90 points91 points  (2 children)

Like if Jaime Lannister grew up in Flea Bottom

[–]randomname68-23 22 points23 points  (32 children)

Is this guy a stand-up comedian? I heard one on the radio talking about his neck tattoos and looking like he's from orange county but I didn't remember his name

[–]alexc1ted 45 points46 points  (6 children)

I dunno who this guy is, but it’s possible you’re thinking of shayne smith he does a lot of bits about his tattoos

[–]randomname68-23 14 points15 points  (2 children)

Yes I remember this bit! Pretty funny guy. Thanks for the assisst

[–]alexc1ted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No problem! That joke always makes me laugh

[–]meggoleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s on tour right now! Highly recommend looking him up to see if he’s gonna be near you! (Saw him last week and it was a blast!)

[–]I-_-LIKE-_-DORITOS 19 points20 points  (7 children)

He's a tik toker who makes stories about his experience in jail, I believe he's a male model too. His Tik-Tok

[–]DietDrDoomsdayPreppr 5 points6 points  (6 children)

Am I reading that right? Almost a million followers?

[–]Ninjalion2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always see him on YouTube shorts. He talks about his experience in prison. They are pretty entertaining.

[–]pooper1978 9 points10 points  (9 children)

Think this is the dude that does the been to prison tik-toks. Hes definitely legit, been myself. Suprised he made it through without a lifer tryna booty bandit his booty lol! Prison is a terrible place depending on where you serve your time.

[–]thestarchildhere 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I didn't know you could go to jail for self defense in the US. In the UK, sure, but US? Weird.

[–]Centurion1401 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really self defense when you stab the shit out of someone then proceed to destroy their property once they ran away. Also, he wasn't going to get any jail time but he robbed a store as well, I believe.

[–]DicklessWeasel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think self defense was what got him put away. Disabling the guys car and then fleeing the scene is what got him put away. Had he contacted authorities right away I definitely don't envision he would've gone away. Maybe a minimal sentence.

Pretty much any time you're involved in a violent near-fatal altercation and you avoid lawyering up and talking to the police you're in for a bad time.

[–]BOXMOUND 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh them cheeks def got clapped lol bet

[–]circle_rv2 19 points20 points  (6 children)

I watch this guy and the first thing he did when he got out of prison was become a model.

[–]Banethoth 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Not surprised. He’s really pretty

[–]leadwind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what they said.

[–]pandurz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Do you mind sharing his channel name with us? Its for the greater good of humanity

[–]Regulusx1337 55 points56 points  (7 children)

Now this is a story all about how...

[–]303trance 18 points19 points  (5 children)

My beer spilled falling down

[–]Kanekesoofango 5 points6 points  (4 children)

Now I'm gonna beat you up, just wait right there

[–]unf0rgottn 5 points6 points  (3 children)

While I pop a top of another bud light beer.

[–]LemmeTellya2 5 points6 points  (2 children)

In the Denver suburbs born and raised playing lacrosse is how I spent most of my days

[–]OU812A 4 points5 points  (1 child)

Chilling out, toking, bowling, all cool

Listening to Marilyn Manson, shooting up my school

[–]ToxicCauliflower 17 points18 points  (1 child)

[–]Rohit_BFire 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[–]shotgun-octopus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh look another r/beetlejuicing or whatever

[–]kavOclock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Funny but not even an insult, I read it as a compliment

[–]typkrft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So white Aladdin?

[–]Qu2sai 27 points28 points  (4 children)

He lowkey looks like Bo Burnham

[–]heyfuBABZ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bo if he grew up in Florida.

[–]olllie3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think he’s more of a evil matt mercer

[–]JabbrWockey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought this was one of his skits until I saw how legit the neck tatt was.

[–]atheros98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can show you the hood, Hookers gangsters and dealers, Shall we go hit the peelers I've got heat strapped to my side

[–]Stinky_Corpse 3 points4 points  (4 children)

Neck tattoos. Cringe.

[–]man_man16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not impossible to make them look good like his.

[–]freebread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awh I see it’s 2021 and we are still associating tattoos with crime and poverty.

[–]wonteatfish 0 points1 point  (11 children)

And got some crappy tattoos on his throat.

[–]mindfreak11593 14 points15 points  (10 children)

He got them in prison and now is an actor, and model

[–]No_Butterscotch_2622 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Name of his channel?

[–]Stripbubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alexander the great tv, hes got a bunch of socials with this tag

[–]nullVcore 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Apparently his first role out of prison was, a prisoner.

[–]BrokeAssBrewer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frightened inmate #2

[–]wonteatfish 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Makes sense

[–]mindfreak11593 1 point2 points  (2 children)

He has a YouTube channel explaining what prison was like

[–]TheBluePanda 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Bad neighborhood? At this point these tattoos are a desperate attempt to get Instagram clout.

[–]Hour-Loss-8603 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He got them in prison way before joining social media, so I'm gonna have to disagree with you, bud

[–]CubicleFish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never seen a good looking neck tattoo.

[–]Saca_La_Bolsita_ -2 points-1 points  (2 children)

This SCUMBAG SHOULDN'T Be Romanticized!! He TRIED KILLING a PERSON & SLASHED HIS TIRES SO HE COULDN'T ESCAPE !!!!

[–]TylerMemeDreamBoi 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Ah yes let’s judge the guy who defended himself, served his time, got out on good behavior, and has a family with a kid on the way. Also let’s not forgot he isn’t proud of it and also apologized to the family

[–]mlane80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn't he also say they were chasing him when the incident happen

[–]londonfooddon 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Is this the guy who went to jail by any chance ?! Fuckin' ell, he doesn't half bang on about it.

[–]allyerbase 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Yes. But… that’s his whole thing. He talks about his time.

[–]londonfooddon 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yeah I don't have time for him to talk about his time, all the time.

[–]Imtheonlyonefuckyou 0 points1 point  (1 child)

This guy def passed out blow jobs in prison!!!!

[–]Nemetonax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks like the guy Bo Burnham acts as ironicaly.

[–]thotfuleagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 20 years ago. Every hipster has lame tattoos, now, so daisies on the neck aren't exactly intimidating, any more.

[–]HookFlow -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

Haha he look ugly asf tbh
