We remove russian narratives and all content about russian internal affairs unless it is major breaking news directly related to positive military outcomes for Ukraine. All russia-produced content, including the statements or activities of prominent russians, state-produced media, and social media is banned. Analysis of russian propaganda, however well-intentioned, spreads poison and will be removed.
Content depicting UA troop movements, impact sites, and any media from the front newer than 14hrs - unless all identifying features of the location are made unidentifiable - may be removed at mod discretion. Content depicting air defenses working, anti-air emplacements, or stationary aid sites is prohibited in any form. Information released by Ukrainian officials or major Ukrainian news sources may be approved.
Keep the title in English, so that foreign users know what your post is about. Provide a translation for posts in other languages. If you are looking for a translation, say so in the title.
If you wish to be extra polite to other readers, mention the language of the original source in the title. For discussions in Ukrainian see r/ukraina. We mainly focus on the English language content. Questions about the Ukrainian language itself can be directed to r/Ukrainian.
Statements or actions of prominent political figures making a direct, meaningful contribution to the support of Ukraine, and comments discussing such post content, may be approved. Tangential discussions about non-Ukrainian political situations, political parties and platforms, election cycles, the activities of pundits, or geopolitical whataboutism are 100% off-topic in every context and will be removed. Repeated political digressions will lead to a ban.
Posts with unclear, clickbait, deceptive titles, or unclear sources will be removed. No links in post titles. Add context to titles–some time/location/topic. A credible source link needs to be given for all posts. No screenshots without a link! Use link posts for links (not text posts). Give credit to Ukrainian sources when possible. Sources in the post or comments are acceptable. Low-value content, such as needless gore or suffering, will be removed. Users are limited to 5 posts per 24h.
Ukraine has immense support and is, of course, grateful. However, during wartime we are limiting supportive Ukrainian flag-related content to flags flying over liberated territories only. Content based on speculation or "armchair general" perspectives from unofficial sources is prohibited as they are difficult to verify as trustworthy, tend to be unconstructive and divisive, and can contribute to the spread of misinformation.
