Tarantino delivered two back to back classics about horrible moments in history. Both films have this fun chaotic aspect to them that kind of separates them from the rest of films in his catalog. Plus, each film features award winning career defining performances by Christoph Waltz.
I’m always in the camp that Bastards is slightly better because of its pacing and the two separate ate story lines converging to the climatic movie theater ending.
Django is awesome and I suppose I could be convinced why it’s the better film. I’m really curious to see what everyone thinks and if you would consider either of these to be Tarantino’s magnum opus.

I don’t think there is a noticeable drop off in quality and Myers and Carvey were still on SNL and huge stars. Wayne’s World transcended SNL and hit got in the cultural zeitgeist in a way few other SNL related stuff had.
I just find it shocking it’s worldwide gross was less than half the original. Curious what others think may have been the reason. Tia!
