The Daily Check-In for Tuesday, September 12th: Just for today, I am NOT drinking!
First ever post here. I've known I've had an issue for a while, wanting to do something but never did. Finally my wife approached me yesterday about it, concerned but luckily very supportive. I don't know what the future brings, but for today, I WILL NOT DRINK WITH YOU
Anyone else?
Right there with you. Hoping for the best but prepared for the worst

Is their a decent Miami (whether alum or just from the area) contingent in Charlotte?

Will likely be moving to Charlotte soon and if I do will be signing!
Go Canes!!
I know the correct financial decision but could use 2nd look
r/personalfinanceThank you. Even without proving guidance you have in a way. My wife is very vocal with her opinion and I have tried to remain quite waiting for the right opportunity/information etc but we just have to have a real conversation. I understand her "argument" and just have to hope she sees mine and we come to a decision/compromise. Personally I wish the nomad visiting national parks was a possibility! Wish you all the best, thank you for taking the time to read and respond
I know the correct financial decision but could use 2nd look
r/personalfinanceStraight and to the point.
Current take home pay is around $8950 monthly
Current expenses are $3200 monthly before gas and groceries
Expenses or income post move cannot be calculated as I do not fully understand the rental or job market yet but can say that comparable homes are close to double in Miami (current) vs Charlotte (prospective city)
You are absolutely correct that we must sit down and weigh tangible vs intangible pros and cons.. was just hoping that someone had been in a similar spot before and could provide insight. I appreciate your effort in commenting though
I know the correct financial decision but could use 2nd look
r/personalfinanceI guess that's the only true answer, the one I didn't want but needed. There is no blanket right answer. Could I ask personally, not necessarily what you would decide but where you would lean in a similar convo? The financial vs emotional decision such as this one?
Thank you for cake day wishes.. can't believe I've been on here for that long.
I know the correct financial decision but could use 2nd look
r/personalfinanceWe are wanting to leave Miami to move to Charlotte which is absolutely more affordable but in no means cheap either. This all the info I can give off the top of my head, but feel free to ask any further questions if it help you pride guidance. I do apologize for my vague post though as I now realize it left more questions then answers
