Yes, when I finally found it, the horses, especially my mom never cared that much. She even got annoyed I’d spent so much time over there. My dad was very interested because he used to ride himself when he was younger. (Parents got divorced when I was 1 yo). So I’m also anxious these days to share what I’m really excited about, scared for the lack of interest.

Hm definitely my upbringing. I stayed home with my grandmother until I was 3 years old. Starting preschool, I was very shy but doing okay. But I remember being 5 or 6 years old when my parents wanted me to pick up a hobby or sports and I freaked out. I was super scared being in a strange environment, afraid of other children and being in a larger group. So after 1 or 2 times, they would let me stay home. It wasn’t until I started horseback riding at age 8 I was okay with being in a new place, thanks to the horses and an amazing teacher. What caused my social anxiety? No positive encouragement from my parents, growing up with a mom who has social anxiety herself, would never go out, express her fears to me as a child, somehow teaching me that other people can’t be trusted. I’m 30 now and doing much much better, but it’s always there.
Edit: I also got bullied from age 10 to 12.
