please just read https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communist_society or any other reasonable encyclopedia or resource about it if you dislike wikipedia.

you don't need to exchange goods if "you" (as in everyone) are the one producing all goods. you just have it.

there is no market in communism, so it can't be "free".

[–]mjoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its simply not, where did you learn that? just google communism and look at the very basic definitions since you obviously don't believe me/ignore everything i say. it is literally the theory of a society without classes, property and a state. the people "own" everything. there never has been a communist society on earth, every single one of them is still capitalist - just like there never has been a case of ethical consumption ever changing anything.

there is no government in this sense in marxist communism. it doesn't matter mate, ethical consumption and communism both won't ever work because humanity simply isn't ready for it. fucking hell, half of the voting populatiob of the us still thinks trump is a good idea and we are arguing about people only buying ethically sound products lol

read up on communism. there is no one in power in communism. that's the whole point of it... it's even in the word itself.

[–]mjoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from me. and i realize that. that's why i make the comparison of both never being able to work, because obviously you will agree with me that communism will never work and maybe you can see why ethical consumption will never work for the very same reason.

[–]mjoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, me too. i would also love to live in actual communism as laid out by marx and i will argue for anything that comes even the smallest steps closer to that. but both will sadly never happen - funnily enough for the same reason.

[–]mjoed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wonder why that is.

sorry, but it's honestly 100 times more likely to create a marxist utopia than it is to get more than 5% of the population interested in a single topic enough for them to sacrifice convenience, money and time to do something against it. we are fucking our entire planet in the ass right now and basically no one gives a real fuck other than maybe saving some energy because it's also saving money. it's a ridiculous assumption.

people voting with their dollar is more powerful and more trustworthy than government intervention.

can you name a single instance of "voting with their dollars" ever doing anything whatsoever in the entire history of the human race? did it abolish slavery? stopped companies from pouring toxic waste into rivers? stopped companies using toxic materials in their products? stopped companies from lying to their customers? given workers better conditions? increased work safety? no? well what could that have been then? government intervention maybe?

even if 5% of the population make this choice (which is an absolutely ridiculous amount btw) it wouldn't change anything. also - even IF you get a significant amount of people to boycott nestle and they change their ways other companies will keep on doing shit.

the only way out of this is through regulation. there is no way to do this via the libertarian utopia of "ethical consumption".

sadly not nearly enough. if only 10% of all people would stop tolerating shit from people it'd be a lot nicer around here.

Keanu Reeves turned down an $11 million dollar role in 'Speed 2' because he didn't like the script, resulting in him being blacklisted by 20th Century Fox for 10 years. Instead, he chose to tour with his band and play Hamlet in a 798 seat theater production in Winnipeg. by kublakhan1977 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]mjoed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not really how i understood it. it simply says instead of doing speed 2 he went and toured in that time, he obviously didn't tour with his band and played hamlet for 10 years lol. i guess people simply work differently - but that means using words like "definitely" isn't really a good idea here. and something like "factually wrong" is just dumb lol

i mean.. yeah okay, i don't really want to get into a discussion about comparing apples to oranges in most of these cases, but even if you take all of those as hypocrits they are still only a few.

to compare it to the ridiculous level of hypocrisy shown by basically every single important republican it is very misleading to act like it "works the other way around" too without making it clear that it's not even close to a fraction of the amount that way around. there is just no comparison and no way i will ever agree to any "but both sides" bullshit on that matter. if you fuck up as a democrat you will get the hate of republicans and democrats. it doesn't work that way for republicans whatsoever.

but now it’s all excuses from those same folks

can you name one person who condemned trump doing it and now excuses biden for doing it?

i mean, of course it depends on your definition of "very short timeframe" - obviously he can't do it within hours. but it's not like it would take years for him to do it either.

sure, as i said i can agree that it's not an ultra good fight or anything, and yeah p1 gives some kael'thas flashbacks after 100 tries, but people act like it's absolutely impossible to kill it due to bugs and RNG elements, which is just not true anymore and hasn't been since the initial fixes. it's just weird as fuck to me that people act like they lived through that bugged version of the encounter when they simply never did lol

as i said, i am pretty sure we didn't encounter any bugs whatsoever - maybe 1 or 2 funky deaths due to lag or general wow weirdness like on any other boss, but nothing that would be out of the ordinary.

he can liquidate a billion dollars within a very short timeframe. hell, he can liquidate 20 billion dollars within a very short timeframe if he wants to, or just borrow it from a bank and have his stocks as compensation, no bank would blink twice giving it to him.

the whole "but he doesn't have it in cash" argument is getting really old.

i don't think anyone says he has or that he is at fault. but that doesn't change the fact that he benefits from it.

//also.. i am pretty certain king would be fine with that tax.

yeah sure, i am the one "lying". can you show me a single log where a single one of those "absurd amount of bugs" happens everyone here talks about? that's not "lying" i guess?
