The new movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters in Japan on July 14, but Studio Ghibli and its partners will do away with pre-release advertising and advanced information. To date it has released only a single enigmatic poster of a bird.

No trailers, ads, or voice cast info whatsoever.😳 Will definitely see this once it gets released in my theater.

I liked the film but maybe this could be a wake up call for Disney that not every animated film of theirs deserves a remake? I would like a sequel to this adaptation though, similar to how Maleficent starring Angelina Jolie got a sequel. The sequel could explore other mermaid territories and Ariel & Eric rushing off to help them after getting married and setting off to the sea.
