Rental home weddings (and few allow them) are usually way more expensive at the end of the day because you need to rent EVERYTHING including mobile kitchens, bathrooms (a home's plumbing generally can't handle 150 people), maybe a generator, and on and on.
Often, restaurants or community/fraternal halls or similar give you the most bang for your buck as there is little to nothing you need to rent and rental fees are low or zero (restaurants).

A refrigerator is louder than 45 decibels. Get a grip. You moved in next to a train station. Not to mention, they are in the process of converting to electricity, so no one is going to do anything about your complaints in the meantime. Move or get some high-quality ear plugs and a white noise machine.
