I'm on my desktop and it's still 800x600, how do I access the full desktop site?

Is it me or is the resolution from the source really low?

Does anyone experience a yellow tint when watching Netflix or Prime Video? by Potongpamadam in Galaxy_S20

[–]jaewaie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The S20s display by default is set to the 'vivid' profile which adjusts white balance based on ambient temperature and is usually cooler than what true white is.

When watching HDR, the white balance does not adjust to ambient and colour temperature is set to 6500k.

When you’re watching an HDR video, the screen mode changes and as a result, you get that yellow tint.

Buds vs Buds+ on iPhone by PM_ME_CUTE_SM1LE in galaxybuds

[–]jaewaie 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Use an android phone to turn on the dynamic EQ on the original buds and the settings will stick. The settings used to not stick but a few months ago Samsung released an update that saved the settings directly to the buds.

Now, my original buds can dynamic EQ and volume controls even when I'm using it with my ipad.

To protect the privacy of the people living in the apartments. The train gets really close to some of them.

Is there adaptive refresh? Or still locked at 120?

Is there such a case for the iPad Pro? I just want the magnetic kickstand portion of it. The surface style kickstand is so much better than the triangular thing we have on the iPads by jaewaie in iPadPro

[–]jaewaie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks good. Unfortunately it kinda is an entire case for the ipad. I m just finding for the back piece. It’s so weird, the ipad is like the most popular tablet but there’s no such kickstand backing things on sale. The closest I can find is the moft stands

Thanks for the recommendations! A lot of you guys have recommended the Logitech case, that gets close to what I’m looking for but not exactly. I’m trying to find something like a back piece that magnetically clips on to the back of the iPad. Lenovo also has something very similar with their chromebook duet where it’s just a back piece that magnetically sticks to the back of the device and has an integrated kickstand.

Cannot seem to get quick charge working by FederalObjective in Galaxy_S20

[–]jaewaie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the original charger that came in the box? Does that work?

Also, I had a very similar issue with wireless charging, it won't fast charge wirelessly even though it says it's fast charging. Turns out, the weather is just too hot and fast charging works just fine if I turned on the AC.

Does it have adaptive display or is it still locked at 120hz?

So excited!! After 2 months of research and sale hunting, I finally picked up the buds+ for $175 CAD. Chose these over the beans for their in-ear design :)) by Franklin521 in galaxybuds

I had my original buds (white) ever since they were released. Rarely ever clean it or whatever, I don't see any yellowing whatsoever

Galaxy Note S20 'Ultra' disappointing. (120Hz) by Kalf2112 in Galaxy_S20

[–]jaewaie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually, it might. Adaptive refresh rate is not the same as variable refresh rate. Adaptive refresh selects automatically between a few settings while variable refresh is something like freesync or gsync.

The note 20 has adaptive refresh, not variable refresh. The S20 is capable of that as well, LTPO or not, it doesn't matter

Left the S20 on top of the car just the day I was planning to return it because of poor battery performance. Universe you win. by ohim77 in Galaxy_S20

[–]jaewaie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that it depends VERY heavily on what type of connection you're using. S20+ Exynos user here, can easily get 6 hours SoT on WiFi. But as soon as I leave home and use LTE, I get terrible battery. In line with OP, about 3 hours sot on 4G

What happened to the leaked adaptive refresh rate feature? by jaewaie in Galaxy_S20

[–]jaewaie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it really shouldn’t half my battery life though. I don’t even have bad reception. It doesn’t seem to be a problem on non Samsung phones either
