I used a few different types bought in different batches applied at different times - caulked the whole house! All were well reviewed on Amazon. Strange

But… doesn’t .invalid get appended to your email address meaning when you get sent the email verification on first login it will fail unless the SB creator removed the .invalid ?? That’s my understanding at least. Seems to be validated here - https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000386507&type=1

DIY staircase makeover, need help on what do with the exposed drywall between the stair stringer and balusters? Are you suppose to cover that with molding? Complete novice, so any help would be appreciated! by Apprehensive_Roll353 in Carpentry

Well it’s just called carpentry and the rules state it’s dedicated to carpenters and associated trades but ‘home owners welcome’ so I think it’s safe to say it’s just about carpentry, rebuilding wooden stairs seems to fall into that category and op didn’t even ask if they were load bearing.

why are my pocket holes screws sticking out i checked my kreg drill settings evething seems right by Affectionate_Fox_116 in woodworking

I have had the same issue and 100% had my jig set up correctly and the official kreg screws(did a lot of research) was mainly using 18mm ply. Some were possibly me being over enthusiastic with the impact driver which is a consideration. But it still happened after I was cautious with the impact driver. Now I just take the recommended drill collar depth and move it down 5mm and it works perfectly.

Miter saw accuracy issues by Electronic_Honeydew1 in Carpentry

Ah I had not even thought about that…. Thank you for the tip. It’s not a too bad saw but starting to feel like I might need to drop the $$$ on a decent one.

Hrrm I stated to ignore the square on the tool checks and of then just started cutting scraps and checking the square then making adjustments and making another cut - might not be the most efficient way to dial it in but a lot more accurate now. Note the square is new and from a reputable brand - it reads true against my many other squares so I have confirmed my measuring device is as accurate as realistically possible…. Strange….

Thanks for responding it has a 10” blade in it and I get about 1mm of play in it when wobbled which doesn’t seem like it should give the insurances I am seeing …

What joinery method for these corners? by Electronic_Honeydew1 in Carpentry

[–]Electronic_Honeydew1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting approach you could possibly {carefully} run it down the table saw to trim the tips off the fingers {not yours!} Like the brass pin idea too.

Found a Lane chest waiting for trash day. Went to reattach the lid and found this. What would be the best way to remove these? I've tried needle nose pliers, but no luck. by vondrachen in woodworking

Can’t really see how the hinge is mounted on the inside but what about - just leave them?? Move the hinge over by 5mm put new screws in new holes? The hinge would cover them so no need to remove? 🤯

If I want to make a table from a fresh white pine slice, where do I start? Resources and guidance needed!! by mush__love in woodworking

My partner has a coffee table made from a round of UK pine. It’s about 2 or 3 inches thick and about 10 yrs old. It STILL oozes enough sap for glasses to get stuck to it. How is that possible!!! Can we get rid of it hell no she ‘likes it’ I’ll just keep removing crockery with a pry bar then…. You’re welcome
