Overhead bin “ownership”, and smaller carryon items. by taylor-reddit in unitedairlines

I once heard the 1k boarding group be described as the “saddest group of gate lice, when you consider how many miles and hours of their life it took to earn that status” by someone with that status who observed the people around her often and I can’t help but to laugh every time I see them so proudly walking through to board.

You enjoy that overhead bin and free upgrade to economy plus my friend. You earned it.

Edit: touched a nerve with those that thought so highly of themselves walking on first when they think about it from that perspective eh? 🤣

Literally in this same situation and all I had to do was ask last week and they are already dropping PMI. Can’t hurt to ask!

Seriously why do people bother with this junk.

The delta pro is not meant for a high number of cycles and that’s not what I bought it for.

Newer models DO use Lifepo4 batteries, and those are also sold at Costco.

Regardless, suggest you look at the guarantee for Costco because it frankly doesn’t matter either way, they don’t consider these electronics, they fall under generators, which means zero risk to you, even 5 years later.

Whether I’m buying a delta pro or a newer model with Lifepo4 from Costco either way Bluetti doesn’t even remotely compare. It’s not even the same ballpark, even if Bluetti does somehow improve their customer service and prices. But hey, if you wanna take a gamble with them you do you.

Reposting what I said recently elsewhere but I think it applies for you.

The hell with Bluetti. Hold off and wait for Costco’s next Ecoflow sale,
I picked up two delta pro maxes with 400w solar panels included at a
cost of $3,199 per unit, without the panels runs $2,598…destroys Bluetti
on the pricing and Costco considers it a generator which means they
don’t limit the warranty to 90 days and it gets the full Costco backing of customer support and warranty.

Where did I equate happiness directly to money?

Fire/Lean Fire, whatever you all want to call it, requires sacrifice. That sacrifice can come in many forms, whether or not you think its a big deal to you or not ...it still requires sacrifice....be it the ability to take that dream trip, tailoring your living situation, sending your kids to a private school vs a public, or hell, even having kids. I'd never argue that any of those things are required for happiness, but individuals decide what they sacrifice to live the mindset.

For those with your mindset, you have to make those sacrifices more often, and to a larger more impactful degree, even if you're "still happy", than those of who don't enjoy putting ourselves in OP's position.

I look forward to welcoming many of you who down voted me back to the workforce at some point in the future :D

Every time I stumble onto subreddits like this the ops seem more sad than anything. Hope you have fun sometimes, truly.

Hello, Looking for advice on getting a power station. Bluetti vs Ecoflow which one would you recommend? So far, I'm leaning toward Ecoflow, no charge brick, faster charge speed and more positive user review. Thanks guys by No-Parking-7939 in bluetti

Live closer to 170/40 and you’ll be much happier. Couldn’t pay me to live near Soulard.

This is why I cannot fathom the people that actually want to live past 170

Don't forget that Ecoflow also destroys Bluetti right now on cost if you take advantage of Costco's deal (who by the way consider the Ecoflow units generators, meaning the 90 day warranty/return limit doesn't apply).

It would be a waste to purchase Bluetti right now.

I’ve had to claim twice and the forms/follow-up never took more than an hour of my time. To have the ability to do that twice each year if I have any issues with mine or my wife’s (clumsy) phone is the absolute best perk.
