MTTSH: If Endgame was the closure to the beginning of the MCU with Iron Man then Secret Wars is the finale to the Marvel franchises that came before Iron Man and the MCU.
Sounds bad
I'm a Podcast, But That's OK: Decision to Leave with Tatiana Maslany
Stoker has been one of my favorite movies since I first saw it, but Decision To Leave is my favorite Park Chan-wook movie. It’s his masterpiece

I don’t think I like movies anymore
I went through a similar period when I was in my early to mid 20’s. I was having trouble finding movies that excited or even interested me. Blank Check was really the thing that snapped me out of it and help me get out of the hole. It was definitely depression, but also a very naive idea that I had seen all the stuff worth seeing. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Now I will never be able to watch all the stuff I want to watch.
So I don’t want to pile on too much, but I do think everyone in here is right. It isn’t movies; it’s depression. You can find that spark again in film that makes you feel passion about them again. It may be related to other parts of your life and your emotions, it may be a phase. But if you ever loved movies filmmaking you will find your back into it. I hope you do.
No More Mr. Nice Guy: Bob Iger May Just Want to Sell Disney and Be Done
Exactly what it is
The case for having a John Landis miniseries
Fuck criminal filmmaker John Landis and his horrible son too
Disney CEO Bob Iger Talks WGA, SAG Actors Strike, New Contract Extension
Yeah, I agree with you. I have never been under the impression that he is an ally to his workers.
Disney CEO Bob Iger Talks WGA, SAG Actors Strike, New Contract Extension
Previously I’ve generally liked Iger despite many reasons to dislike him. I figured he was one of the more level headed execs, compared to evil idiots like Zaslav. Iger features heavily into the book The Disney War, one of the best books I’ve ever read and a great history of Disney executives up until about 2006. I was happy when he came back as CEO last year.
Anyway, after his interview on Thursday morning where he said the writers and actors need to be realistic and he finds their demands “disturbing” I will never say another good word about this fucker again. He’s another filthy rich vampire who made his hundreds of millions off the backs of underpaid workers in every sector of Disney’s business. I thought he was smarter and less out of touch than this. Fuck him.
The Daredevil-verse is back in DEADPOOL 3
Preemptive but confident that this will be my least favorite movie ever made
To the fans that liked “Dial”… what is a classic or favorite line of dialogue that will stick with you forever?
“I don’t know where we’re going but it sure as hell ain’t 1939!” is one of the best moments in an Indiana Jones movie and of Harrison Ford’s career. I have some mild criticisms of the movie, but that moment outweighs all of them. It’s outstanding
The Third Act
That line truly gave me a thrill
The Third Act
The third act is absolutely spectacular and has some of the best acting of Harrison Ford’s career. I can’t stop thinking about it
We’re halfway through the year! What have been your worst films of 2023 so far, Blankies?
Ghosted is a gigantic stinker that should be flushed down the toilet straight to hell
73 y/old looking for advice
There is a lot of really great advice in the comments here. Any PS4 you can buy, either pro or standard/slim ($400 or $300 new) is a great value for you and there is an enormous amount of good games you can play on it. Get the monthly PlayStation Plus membership for the access to the game library and free games, get a long Ethernet cable to hook into your console and get a hardwired connection, and use YouTube to find games that appeal to your taste and sound fun to you. There is a ton of stuff out there. I really wish I could get my dad who is about your age into games and unfortunately I can’t. I know he would really have a lot of fun with them.
I didn’t get a PS4 until 2019 and I am still playing catch up games. I hope you have a great time with it. It’s a really special and fulfilling kind of entertainment, your neighbor is right and you’ve got the right idea. I’m sorry about for your loss. I hope games can bring you a lot of fun.
So what season 3 I Think You Should Leave sketch are you incorporating into your reference bank?
There was monsters on the world
YOU HURT MY FEELINGS feels like a movie created by the Blank Check podcast!
Saw this today and I really loved it. It’s a really lovely movie about real people and their real problems. Had a decent sized crowd that was really into it and laughed a lot. JDL and Menzies are both excellent in it.
Yellowjackets S02E09- “Storytelling” Episode Discussion
Very frustrating and mixed season two overall
Trouble Will Find Me is 10 years old today. What's your favorite song off this album?
This album was a very big deal for me when I was 21. Listened to it all summer. Sea Of Love is one of my favorite National songs. Matt came into the crowd at Bonnaroo 2013 and screamed it in my face.
