Yeah.. lost the offer I received on campus and then didn't receive a single reply for months!
Thankfully I just started working last week in another company (data too, if it matters :P)

How do I download 320kbps Playlists from YouTube music? by babcock_lahey in Piracy

[–]fighter_foo 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, if you google about YT audio quality you'd see most results saying YT doesn't really store 320kbps audio itself so the 320kbps you'd download would actually be upscaled, I think.

Getting an average with a twist (beginner) by TheHarambe2017 in learnpython

[–]fighter_foo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone already mentioned, use

(sum(times) - min(times) - max(times))/(len(times)-2)

Another thing I'd suggest is to use

``` for i in range(5):
t = float(input("Enter number {i}".format(i)))
times.append(t)
```

instead of writing 5 lines.

Edit: tried formatting but can't do it ffs

MicroPython Wi-Fi board and components lighting up but no response from RGB Clock by Drago9000 in learnpython

Did you get a chance to check the wiring?

Once you're connected, you should see if you're able to execute basic commands on it. Here is a guide for that.
Next step (if the wiring is fine and code is running) would be to see if the commands to turn LED on/off work.

If these all work as expected, I'll dig around and try to find some code to turn LEDs into clock too. :D

One, we had sports once a week here in school and a lot of us just fucked around even during that.
Two, obviously I was exaggerating a little haha.

In India, degradation of women starts when they're in school. by aanob in india

[–]fighter_foo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just schools, everyone should be held accountable, but they don't. We've just been raised to ignore these things but I seriously believe that that's going to change by the next decade. I'm 23 and I see that all of my batchmates are at least open to talking about these things, almost everyone agrees what's wrong apart from a few who think that doing nothing is fine but I guess that it's still better than what it was 10 years ago when we were in school.

But as far as schools are concerned, well I remember our female teachers giving hell to a son-of-another-teacher because he tried to look up a girl's skirt (she was sitting on the first bench) while he was being punished to sit on the ground. Teachers (I mean their generation, in general) were raised in an even less open environment, so I don't think we can really expect much more from them.

As far as this peon guy is concerned, go visit your school once this shit is over and see if he's still working. Spill some water from a bottle when only he's nearby. Kick the bastard in the nuts and tell him why you did that.
Or well at least dream about the pleasure from it tonight.

Hey hey hey! You deserve some break, kid. Thinking too much about the negative side of anything is just one of my bad habits, and I should've also mentioned it to you that you should be proud of yourself. You got through it! Clear it or not, there are a lot of things you can do in the future - which means you can enjoy life for now. Start exercising, gaming, reading, dancing - whatever the fuck interests you! All that matters now is that you do whatever you like and whatever makes you happy. And yes, I expect to a happy message in my inbox when you clear the exam. :)

The explanation is fine, us not understanding one example shouldn't lessen the overall essence of what you're saying here.
I really wish there was something I could say or do that'd make you feel better, but all I can say is that I'm sorry it happened to you. And to any girl in my class, because I never stood up against these guys either. All my school life I just avoided guys like these because I didn't like their behaviour and since I had no female friend, I didn't know how they felt either. Even though they were maybe 20-25% of total boys, the test 75-80% not doing anything against them was as good as us not existing. So again, I apologise.

Indian (JEE-A cleared) engineer here.
Hate to break it to you my friend, but the phase b/w results and college finalization was crazier than the preparation phase (at least for most people I know). Clear it or not, you're gonna have a shit tonne of options ahead of you for both college and branch, and like the rest of lakhs of people, a school kid rarely knows what they wanna do.

Wish you the best of luck, and feel free to message if you need any help!

If it can flash blue, it should be blue when connected properly in 99% of the cases.

The micro USB or white connector is either plugged in or not, so you'd know if that wasn't done properly and if even the wrong light is on, it means the power supply is there at least. So just one glance at these should be enough.

Which leaves us with the WiFi and LEDs. Now the manual says nothing about the WiFi, so dissemble the LEDs once, and just double check and reassemble them once again (I like to keep the objects exactly as in the image when I'm unable to figure out what's going wrong), make sure all those arrows and weird plates are perfectly lining up.

If all goes well, try this website, go through their home page reference if you get confused about which version to download (the writing on the silver panel of micropython board wasn't clearly visible so you'd have to see what fits it best yourself). I'm not sure if even the official website would really help much, but it's the best bet for now, I think?

Edit: My bad, went to the website again, and realised that the micropython board should act as a WiFi AP once plugged in to the power supply.

After a fresh install and boot the device configures itself as a WiFi access point (AP) that you can connect to. The ESSID is of the form MicroPython-xxxxxx where the x’s are replaced with part of the MAC address of your device (so will be the same everytime, and most likely different for all ESP8266 chips). The password for the WiFi is micropythoN (note the upper-case N). Its IP address will be 192.168.4.1 once you connect to its network. WiFi configuration will be discussed in more detail later in the tutorial.

So once the LED is on, do you see the access point?

Don't thank me yet lol, I doubt I'll be able to help much without getting my hands on something similar

I just took their phone for a night, played a lot of newsance/newslaundry/related recommendations and subscribed to a bunch of similar channels I thought were good. I'm not at home anymore but I'm hoping they'd realise the stupidity once they've seen a lot of videos from the other side.
