So canon wise I’m really confused on who kassandra sides with in the Peloponnesian war. At the beginning of the game she helps Sparta take control of Megaris, but she could have just been feigning loyalty to try to get a convo with the wolf because the game allows (and encourages) to attack the strongholds and camps of both nations. I know in the book tho she sided with Sparta in all the conquest battles. Which leads me to my question: where do her loyalties lie? Is she loyal to Sparta but still steals from them in order to supply herself, or does the book say she never takes any Spartan strongholds and is only defiant of Athens? Or is she a true mercenary and acts as a double agent, feigning loyalty to both sides in order to get money while still looting from both nations’ camps? If anyone has read the novelization and knows the canon answer please let me know.

Maybe like the planetary army was free to deal with crime and taxes and shit while the imperial one kept the the planetary army doing its job

Yea cause that was kinda one of my ideas that the imperial army was kinda the army that kept the planetary government and army in line

So when the clone army of the republic became the stormtrooper army of the Empire, the empire went on an expansion effort and brought more and more planets under its control. But once the empire brought a planet under its control, most planets were left to there own affairs. Only some were put under direct imperial occupation. But canon sources tell us that the empire did a widespread deployment of their military. So if the planets that weren’t under occupation were allowed to keep their governments, wouldn’t they keep their planetary militaries as well? Did the “widespread deployment” include planets with already existing planetary militaries? And if so, would the Imperial military and planetary militaries work together, or would the Imperial military replace the planetary ones? Or did the empire just not deploy forces on such planets and they were left to their own affairs?
