Is it legal to sell pillows with the logo of an existing company on it? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]red_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo! Redbubble here. We operate as a marketplace so we don't actually make our own designs, thousands of artists from around the world upload them to our site. There's so many we can't possibly review them all. However, we encourage artists, brands, or entertainment companies to contact us if they see their work being used without approval. It's a super easy takedown process and we have a crack team on top of it. Check out our help section if you have other questions.

Is Redbubble merchandise illegal? by Helyqy in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]red_bubble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo! Redbubble here. So basically we operate as a marketplace. This means that people from around the world upload content to our site, we do not create the designs. There are so many uploads it's not feasible for us to review them all or verify if a person has the rights to legitimately use that property. That said, we hate stealing as much as you do, we want creators and artists to be paid for their work. We encourage artists to send a DMCA takedown request if they see their work stolen. It's actually a pretty easy process. We love original fan art too. Rather than ripping off something like FNAF, we encourage artists to do an original take on it. If you browse through RB we actually have quite a few legit fan art pieces for FNAF that don't just swipe images from the game. Let us know if you have questions.

Where can I buy a funky laptop case for my MacBook Pro? by [deleted] in mac

[–]red_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agh, sorry to disappoint. We do have laptop sleeves though...they're padded and make it safer to transport. Sound like what you're looking for is a shell though, which we don't do :( http://www.redbubble.com/shop/laptop-sleeves?ref=product-nav

Redbubble merch by Ionav in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]red_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Redbubble here, thanks for pointing this out. We hate stolen work as much as you guys do and we WANT game developers to get the credit and cash they deserve. However with the thousands of pieces loaded everyday, it's not possible for us to look at or check the licensing of everything in our marketplace. We take stolen work seriously and have a team that acts on DMCA takedowns as quickly as possible. That said we definitely know we have some original FNAF art pieces that fall under legitimate fan art, which might be your best choice.

Regarding that RedBubble contest that ended on the 4th: what's gone on with it? I've not heard anything or even seen anything from RedBubble about the results by [deleted] in necrodancer

Hey! Redbubble here. The entries have been collected and are being judged by the game developers (exciting!). We hope to be able to announce the winners this week or next. Want us to post the winners here in the subreddit?

Who to contact about someone selling copyrighted RT merch on redbubble? by matticusrenwood in roosterteeth

[–]red_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, not sure if you got this resolved yet. We operate as a marketplace so we don't review every design that comes through, sort of like Youtube with videos. We do, however, take stolen IP and work super seriously. If you haven't yet, please do a DMCA request, rdbl.co/takedown

Before it's too late, find out if your artwork is being stolen. by P1nheadL4rry in GlobalOffensive

[–]red_bubble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great thread. Redbubble operates as a marketplace and creators upload their work. Like Youtube, we don't review the content as it's loaded because there's so much that it would be infeasible. We don't know who has licenses, or is original creators. That said, we totally take stolen work seriously and have a crack team that looks into every DMCA request whether it comes from someone big like Steam or someone little like a Youtube personality. We've got some additional info on this in our artist terms.

Sorry to the OP that this is happening, but your comment pretty much sums it up. Redbubble is a marketplace where creators upload their work and, like Youtube, we do not review everything that's loaded. We hate stolen work too and we have a badass team dedicated to looking into things that are reported. We just need the artist to fill out a take down request, which is actually pretty easy, rdbl.co/takedown
