We talked to Amos and Paul before our Red show and they were both so kind to us, especially Paul just chatting about golf and sports, it always makes me really happy to see them both still up there with her all these years later too!

My wife and I were lucky enough to get permits in December for this hike! The entire hike is well worth it, not just the end. The Wave, Arizona, USA [OC] 4032x3024 by mrxexon in geology

They have started giving out some (I believe 16 a day?) three months in advance in a different lottery, which is how we got ours for a Monday in December! We saw three other people and a dog the whole time. It was 55 and perfect weather for the shadeless hike

The middle section of the Wave hike was so much like that slick rock section of the delicate arch hike, we just felt it wasn't as uphill, just always like you were on a sidehill if that makes sense! Maybe we didn't notice the inclines as much because we were excited, but other than the end it was decently flat

Keep trying! This was our third try with the three month ahead reservations. We did a Monday in December and honestly it was the perfect time to go. Been lucky to do so many of the famous and top hikes around AZ and UT and this is the best and was well worth it!

Valley of Fire always looks so cool! Observation Point trail is very similar to Angels Landing in terms of views and 100 times less scary! Also, we did The Wave on a Monday in December and it was 55 degrees F which was honestly perfect with how little shade there was. In those temps its definitely not as hard as online leads you to believe. The whole hike is unreal which we were not totally expecting. Keep trying, definitely our favorite hike!

in summer there would be no shade, but honestly with decent temps it wasn't bad at all and was a really fun hike, regardless of the destination, not that scary! Reminded us of the walk to Delicate Arch

We got it three months ahead of time. Very limited number get to do a day, to limit the traffic and damage to this otherworldly place

Welp, made our vacation around this game for my birthday over from Denver. Was excited for rain, wanted an authentic experience. Shouldve known theres no more authentic City experience than disappointment! What else to do, any fun restaurants in Northern Quarter?

Real answer is Krazy Jims Blimpy Burger in Ann Arbor, I've never been more nervous to order in my life, prepared my speech for the 10 minutes in line, and still studdered and messed up my third word in. But damn that pumpernickel bun was delicious!
