Proposing to my girlfriend in Lisbon this summer — thoughts on my shortlist of possible locations by tcrowne33 in lisboa

I proposed to my wife on a boat on the river at sunset and would definitely recommend it!

It was magical, very romantic and she still goes on about how great it was. Definitely go for that!

The only thing I can think of is that I’ve bought stuff from their store

Have bought most albums on vinyl from their store since the suburbs - also got the her soundtrack recently so assume it’s that.

From my very limited knowledge of notation, I couldn’t recognise it. Wonder whether it’s something from the new album?

Was at the Earl’s Court gig. What a night. God to be back going to gigs again.

Title - A new start

Genre - Contemporary fiction

Word count - 689

Type of feedback desired - Any. This is the first thing i've written creatively in years and hoping to build on it and turn this into a short story or even a novel if I have enough. Would this make you want to carry on reading?

Brief synopsis - I see it as essentially the first chapter. The main character, David, is recently divorced from his wife and has gone to Italy alone to sell their family holiday home. The wider story will go on to see David decide to stay in Italy, build a new life for himself, and confront his personality and the reasons for the divorce.

Is there a good cookbook or guide that I can cook through, that will teach me about cooking as well? by sarnold95 in cookingforbeginners

Another one for Delia Smith’s How To Cook series. Teaches basic and intermediate skills, but most importantly gives you confidence.

Since I believe the latest update, when I send images in iMessage they appear for the other person smaller and of lower quality. Is this a known bug or is there something I can do to fix?

Yep, will dig out when home later. Another issue is that it is wider at the bottom than the top, so if I fill with wood will need to have enough overlap on the concrete wall side to ensure it fills all

I did briefly, thanks for the suggestion though as will look again. My initial though is I would still have the same issue with the hole for the door not being square, and probably cosmetically would prefer a wood or pvc door.

How would you recommend joining to the door frame?
