I apologise for apologising, I regret nothing, never let the party die.
Very true. Because it's been left in dirty water for years!
Ask away!
But yes, this is the most insane thing I see over and over again. Why does anyone think leaving a mop to soak in dirty water is fine, when you could do the most minimal thing and just leave it drip drying above the water?
The ones with common sense? This sub is so weird. Leaving a mop soaking in dirty water makes no sense, it takes no time or effort to leave it slightly above the water so it might dry a bit. Sorry if that's a "finger quotation marks" worthy thing to think.

Yeah my question is definitely more: how the hell do Americans afford anything, when pretty much every transaction/interaction you have has hidden costs. The sales tax suddenly upping the amount you calculated is one, but you've also invented entire jobs just to be tipped - what in the hell-fuck is a "Doorman"?!?! You can't open doors? Need to pay a guy to open the door even though you definitely can? Got sooooo many 1s???!!!
It's obviously not fine, my comment was obviously more about how you can argue two justifiable yet opposing viewpoints, and that if you tried to obey both at the same time you would arrive at something obviously ludicrous, such as this.
I thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth of perfectly sensible, logical retorts in this thread, each one seemingly more sensible than the last, arguing for the complete opposite thing.
In conclusion: they designed this lift pretty much fine.
