Dad's attempt to make "pumpkin soup". He thinks he's a great cook. by Fine-Mammoth-6139 in shittyfoodporn
[–]Fine-Mammoth-6139[S] 2 points3 points4 points 20 hours ago (0 children)
He thinks all the ingredients are "close enough" so therefore it's a pizza.
A pizza is made of tomato sauce, crust, and cheese.
Ketchup and marinara sauce are both made from tomato's.
Bread and pizza crust are both made from flour.
Mozarella and american cheese are both cheeses.

You were already exposed as a intellectually dishonest fraud here and now you're angry that your attempt to downplay CCP racism failed and you got exposed with your pants down!
Moreover you were given the chance to debunk points about the genocide your government is committing against the peaceful Uyghur people and failed to even debunk a single point!

He said "Chinese culture"
He said "Chinese culture"
So? Criticizing a culture is not racist either because a culture isn't a race. If so then why aren't people similarly criticizing other Asians like Tibetans or San Diu of being dishonest?

Nice try but I am chinese myself. I cannot be a racist against my own race and everything Shiba said was true & factual but thanks for trying to get offended on my behalf.
By the way it's not racist to criticize the CCP

It is insightful because too many people still beleive chinese people in America are "model minority" law-abiding citizens when it's so far from the truth as to be a "BIG LIE" that Goebells himself would be proud of!

Wrong it's a mistake to compare cheaters in the Western, free, democratic world to the ones in racist, totalitarian china. I am chinese and I know. The cultures r completely different. People who do bad things in the West are individually messed up people but in china it's due to the culture raising them to be that way.
When I was a kid my parents even told me it's okay to lie, cheat, steal and even hurt people physically just as long as they're white or black and even ok to do it to other chinese people if they are deemed "race traitors" (aka against the CCP).

I don't know. He's very critical about other people's cooking if he doesn't know them personally. We once went to an Italian place (not Italian-American) and he complained because it wasn't like how his favorite Italian-American joint made it. The two cuisines are pretty different and I realize that, but I like each for what it is, the Italian-American style for its kind of crazy over-the-topness and the traditional Italian cuisine for its balance and good ingredients.
Meanwhile, if he makes "pizza" at home, he's content with wonderbread, ketchup, and American cheese mainly because he's too lazy to actually put that much effort into it.

He eats it and unironically thinks it's great. He thinks he's a great cook, just like he thinks he's a handyman and master craftsman despite the fact that he just fixes everything with string and duct tape, and like he thinks that he knows a lot about cars despite driving a beat up old late 90's pickup truck
funny thing is he makes fun of people for being "rednecks" while he's gotten progressively more redneck-ish over the years.

He once used jello powder straight from the packet instead of jelly for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Another time he tried to be creative and made a beef jerky, left over hummus and canned pineapple.
He also made a "pasta" sandwich with plain boiled shell pasta inbetween two slices of bread.
Anybody else's parents stuck in the exact same "routine" and then get mad when they have to do/try something different? (self.AsianParentStories)

Yeah my dad can't make a sandwich either. I've lost count of the time he put Cool Whip on a ham sandwich because he was out of MiracleWhip (I hate MiracleWhip and like mayo) and he thought they were the same. Or he puts things that just shouldn't go in sandwiches.

My dad is just a really shitty cook (but he thinks he's a great one) and makes a lot of rookie mistakes when cooking. Such as draining the liquid component of soup. He literally can fuck up the simplest of things in the kitchen.
He thinks he knows a lot about food because he was the business manager at his friend's restaurant for a while. Thing is he never stepped in the kitchen and the restaurant flopped anyways.

It explains how the CCP will attempt to cheat by using threats. Are you a CCP shill or are you intentionally being ignorant?
Besides he deserves a "best of" for his username alone.

I guess so. This was from a while ago and I actually suggested it, but he was too lazy to do it.
Then again a few years ago he tried to make "French Onion Soup" which turned out to be nothing but boiled and strained (again no liquid) garlic cloves (he got onions and garlic mixed up) with spray on aerosol cheese and powder sugar.

I'll be honest, this probably isn't half bad. In Hawaii they have Spam Musubi which is basically triangular sushi with spam. It's actually pretty good as a snack.

Exactly what I asked when he claimed it was pumpkin soup.
Usually he just mixes random ingredients in a pot and boils them, and leaves some of the boiling liquid. This time he drained the liquid. Apparently he didn't know that soup is supposed to be liquid.
