Let's just say Painting with criticism is my bat signal. I'm sorry, I just can't suffer foolish takes on the album. I am justice.
The two name thing is only because of toggling devices and haven't bothered doing things differently with regards to the names. The two handles are, say, my Batman and Bruce Wayne.
You have been way more vicious towards me. You're like my Newman from Seinfeld, my AC Newman if you will, which is confusing because there is a musician named AC Newman

In my opinion the only songs on the actual PW album that verge on silliness musically is Floridada and Golden Gal, which also happened to be two of the three singles and are the most popular ones.
I think they're really hard to rank relative to each other. Apples and oranges to me. In my book they're probably about equal, but they go for completely different things. I have listened to MPP many, many, many times (also obsessed over live boots of MPP before the album came out for about a year or so), but I have probably listened to PW twice as many times. That doesn't make PW necessarily better than MPP, but it's just that PW is so damn easy to put on anytime at all, except before bed or meditative moods, because it's so direct, fresh, cerebral, fun, and I swear its music shapeshifts for me all of the time--something about the vocals and the synths and percussion make it change like a rorschach or something, like some kind of auditory puzzle. MPP doesn't quite have that attribute, even though there is a ton of textures going on in MPP. It's like each listen of a PW song is like listening to a song from a new perspective than the last time you heard it, especially the songs with hocketing. It's just so positively mentally stimulating and makes me feel good.
That's probably why they're the type of music fans that are only casual AC fans
Such a lame title: "The best since MPP"
