What’s the easiest way to play FFT or a tactics like game?

r/finalfantasytactics icon r/finalfantasytactics •

I agree with most of your statements. (I really liked FFTA1's law system)

There are a lot of factors which add up, but the simple version is that the game is unconventional with its approach to a lot of things, which is not conducive to being a great introduction to a genre.

As someone who is near the end of creating a FFTA romhack I'd like to say I don't think it's the best way to get into tactics games. I love the game dearly, but I think almost any other tactics game is a better introduction to the genre.

Emulate FFT on pc.

Modern day emulation has become pretty user friendly and shouldn't be hard to set up.

My issues with Hard Mode

right. If the turn order were like fire emblem you could work around the high damage output better. In FFT attacks deal less damage relative to your max HP because they understood that if the turn order is gonna be chopped up with CP (or whatever it was called) then the player needs an opportunity to react to damage instead of forcing them to foresee everything like TS does (which leads to analysis paralysis and a bunch of resets.)

My opinion towards TS has definitely soured since a month ago.

I miss your point.

That cadence is extremely common in music. However here they have the exact same voicing and similar production.

On a scale of Izlude to 10, how's your day going ?

I'm astounded at the stupidity and rudeness of the average reddit user.

Not the exact same chord, but they're almost identical.

With Exogenesis/Darkshines I was incorrect, but some of the chords/tones in Darkshines sounds like this snippet of E.pt1 https://youtu.be/l9kqU_7-CgI?t=113

What is the meaning behind Origin of Symmetry?

Within the context of the song "Starlight" Black Holes and Revelations means to grow older and wiser. You watch your dreams die as the truth reveals itself.

The album as a whole deals with matt's unraveling faith in the world and its leaders.

my point is that you have to reach a certain level of societal infrastructure before that becomes true.

but the other army over there would need to have swords for your words to carry any weight.

Is it worth playing all routes.

r/TriangleStrategy icon r/TriangleStrategy •

I was frustrated when I found that I'd made every decision perfectly for the golden route except for Refusing to smuggle illegal salt. (guess that's what being a goody-two shoes gets you.) I similarly didn't want to do more than one playthough but felt that the final 5 chapters on the route I wound up on (Benedict) really did not tell the storyline that I was hoping for.

I wound up dropping the game on the final boss chapter (Really not interested in fighting a robot anime girl. I hate mecha anime) I plan to sell my copy soon.

Edit: What's especially frustrating is that for most of the game's story I was thinking "Damn, I really wanna team up with Svarog and kick Idor's butt." and from what I've read it seems that story is exclusive to the Golden Route. (Which again, I missed by 1 decision.)

The pen is different than the sword.

I think you posted in the wrong subreddit bub.

But yeah, bureaucracy is a pain in the ass and really makes you wish you could stab politicians or at least watch government officials have regular duels to the death.

Which Muse album is this? (Each song getting more or less gradually worse)

r/Muse icon r/Muse •

This a tough question to answer, but for me Uprising-USoE is much much stronger than GL-Exogenesis Pt.3

This is a generalization. I think there are several songs in the back half of resistance which shine beautifully on their own, but if you listen casually and blur songs together I feel the front half of the album is stronger.

I don't plan to. Like I said, I've never been a terribly big fan and concerts aren't really my thing. :)

I agree... Those little piano notes come echoing back to me every now and again and I have to pull the song out.

Even as someone who is just beginning to understand the lyrics, the lines "Now i'm overcome, by the light of day, your lips are near but my heart is far away, now the war is won, how come nothing tastes good?" is bonechilling within context of the rest of the lyrics. Something about this combined with when he says he's a "good christian man" and his manipulative dialogue "do you know where I was at your age???" and then his possession becoming manic by the end, reminds me all too much of my parents when I was a teen.

For me that streak moreso starts with Sing for Absolution and ends with Butterflies and Hurricanes, but the concept still remains.
