Think I will do that. Thanks

Hello all! Long story short I decided in the last 24 hours to head out to the dust for my 3rd year. Always been with a big camp but will be heading out solo this time. The problem I’m having is mostly shade/space related. As of now I have nothing for shade, was thinking of building a monkey hut but wasn’t sure how feasible building that by myself would be? Not to mention my truck is pretty small so I’m a little worried about wind blockage if things get crazy. That said I was looking forward to the freedom of actually going solo
My other alternative is to crash at my friends camp, which went from me having my tent to now likely having to sleep in the back of his camper shell truck on a sleeping pad. Which sounds doable but I assume really rough for privacy/personal space/long term comfort reasons. The upside is having a bit more secure shelter, and the comfort of not going from burning with lots of friends around to none. As I can get pretty anxious/introverted at times, usually not that bad on playa though.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Think this is the one thing I’m spinning on because I’m otherwise fully prepared. Very stoked to get out there!
this is a community like r/AmITheAsshole except unlike that subreddit here you can post interpersonal conflicts, anything that's AITA but is not allowed there even posting about Scar from the lion king and trying to convince redditors that he was not the AH. rules: don't berate others and no pornography we have children here

Only reasonable take I’ve read so far. Relationships are complex, these people definitely aren’t for each other. And they both kinda suck.
The go to community for shitty pictures of food and pictures of shitty food.

Love seeing a wild Malibu Ken reference!
Thank you for the extremely detailed response! My only further question has to do with not the “horse lord”, but the Calvary captain who keeps driving into the horde and never getting injured. Sibuwal Vaka? I think he’s the guy that gets punished in earlier books for being unruly/glory hunting? But I thought for sure at some point it was laid out that he gathers the sickly folk and leads them to the shore to see a bunch of dead bodies wash up. I could be wrong. A lot of these books go way over my head.
So I’m surprised to say most of the this book has landed for me the first go around, I think? Which is not usually the case. Haven’t finished chapter 17 but wanted to clarify some stuff while it’s still fresh.
Basically the non men plot was to stop the last semi functional group of them from joining the side of the consult? Think it’s supposed to be unclear whether tall guy and sorwheel/possibly serwa end up at golgoterath in the next book?
Proyas now understands what the purpose of TGO is, stopping the consult at any cost/including damnation? But why Khellus had to go back in the first place I’m still unclear on. Like losing his belief humanized him a tiny bit to try to save Esme? Or just because he had to head off the gods messing shit up at home which would make winning pointless? Still have not clue what the horse lord guy running around being untouched is about. Just so he could have the vigil with all the nuke zombie men? Also Aurang showed up got challenged to a duel and then just dipped?
The survivor’s end mostly made sense. He basically learned a ton of the stuff Khellus did but all at once and with no tangible goal to accomplish? Thus realizing the only rationale thing to do was jump off a cliff because nothing he was capable of would do any good? Minus saving that kid which is where it all fell apart for him anyway.
I kept up with the empire stuff until the end. The Narindar was the WLW, or maybe Kelmomas? Basically was there to oversee the destruction of the royal family? Obviously they kinda won but also got stopped short by Khellus a bit? Still not sure whether Khellus and Esme are dead, and if so who killed who or what happened in general. Same with the Zeum sorcerer, no idea what happened there. Would appreciate any insights you all might have. I’m both bummed to be almost done with the series but also semi relieved. I enjoy it a lot but it’s very tiring. I’ve heard it’s not a completely tied up ending but even if this series had 20 books I doubt it would ever feel “finished”. Which is kinda cool, I don’t think revealing all the mystery would be as rewarding.
