I haven’t tried this but I’ve been seeing lots of posts about flies. Has this worked for anyone? by DirtWesternSpaghetti in Equestrian

It’s not the regular flies that are the problem it’s the deer flies that are so bad. They draw blood and can definitely make some horses freak out. Pretty much once summer hits you can’t go near the woods where I am because of the deer flies. I’ve been chased out of the trails by them. Normal fly spay doesn’t help with them.

It kinda ruined regular massage for me. It’s just a bummer it was pretty expensive but it really felt great

Our cesspool collapsed so we have a clean slate in our backyard. by SuffrnSuccotash in NoLawns

That’s all we have here. The ground is very Sandy so they drain very well. But can be a problem if there’s an old one on the property they can collapse. People can get hurt.

“Respect horses” but then as an eventor point them at jumps that could kill them in a rotational fall? Here’s a little hack with minimal risk that could help make a horse more comfortable vs huge risks just to compete and win prizes.

Whoops sorry was logged out. The cesspool was full on the house we got so we emptied it. It then collapsed which I guess happens a lot if the cesspool is old and you empty it then the pressure from the inside isn’t holding it up anymore especially spring time when the ground is expanding with the changing temps so we needed a new cesspool and our entire back yard got dig up so we have just a dirt backyard

From what I remember it’s not even something they’re aware of it’s just an annoying frequency that only teenagers can hear oddly. It was a while back when I saw it on tv but I remember it because it was interesting to me that our hearing evolves that way

Maybe you could get one of things that emits a frequency only teenagers hear. Saw something about it on tv. Some 7-11’s use them

I’m guessing there’s still blood. His hoodie is gruesome. I might run home to grab clothes when a friend comes to sit with him. I’m going to take a ride up there. Thanks again

It’s just so weird. I have had evolving theories in my head based on the info from this sub which I’m just so amazed you can just reach out on Reddit and get little snapshots of the scene.

Wow thank you SO much for adding a little bit more info. They just brought his bike to the room and it’s totally fine but the tire is ripped off. The construction fencing is treacherous I thought he crashed at the bottom of the bridge. I think he bled a lot maybe I can find the spot. He doesn’t remember what happened or that he was even riding his bike. He’s definitely doing better and has stabilized is even asking about other stuff.
